AmigaRemix: no favicon?

AmigaRemix could use a nice, Amiga-themed favicon. It is currently blank.

Re: Faults @ AmigaRemix.com

Thanks. Strange, I've changed that setting (and almost all else) to "always ask". I'll see what I can do, probably browser-related.

Re: Faults @ AmigaRemix.com

Is there some sort of embedded player in AmigaRemix? When clicking on an mp3 link, I used to get the "Open with.../Save" window in my browser (Pale Moon - Firefox based), but a now that's not possible and a strange player window with no controls appears and plays. I've tried disabling all ...

Re: Beginner seeking advice on remixing

Thanks Commie_User, both Computer Music & Music Tech look very interesting. Do you think their DVD contents are worth it for a subscription? Unfortunately they come at double the price over here on the newsstands (around 15€).

Re: Beginner seeking advice on remixing

Thanks for the warm welcome and advice, Doddsy. It will take months, possibly more than a year before I can present something decent, but I promise to deliver sooner or later, it's something I've always wanted to do.

Re: Beginner seeking advice on remixing

Thanks for the links and all the helpful advice. I also have this Clavinova with an excellent quality keyboard, MIDI and USB ports and a floppy. It'd be the clever thing to use it! I can't connect it directly to a computer though (too far). Do you think I could use its USB/floppy for transferring (M...

Re: Beginner seeking advice on remixing

Thanks a lot everyone for your valuable posts. The Tutorials section is quite nice. I have a final, essential query regarding the sounds/instruments used and how do we find them. Let's say I want an unusual sound, that comes close or even equals the Amiga/C64 original for example. How do I get that?...

Re: Beginner seeking advice on remixing

Thanks, Commie_User. I know of course all rudimentary stuff related to digital audio playback (stereo/mono), I've been actively using hi-fi, home-theater devices + HTPC's for years, but when it comes to creating music on computers, even basic knowledge such as MIDI, multi-track, sequencers etc. elud...

Beginner seeking advice on remixing

I really want to have a shot at remixing at least one of my favourite Amiga tunes before I die ( 8) ). Problem is, I know absolutely nothing on how music is made on a computer, I've only got classical training (piano, harmony etc.). Could you recommend where to start, a website with newbie material ...

Re: Hülsbeck Turrican pledge on KickStarter

I think Chris just got tens of thousands of dollars worth of product managers... all with different expectations. Please let's just stick to the music. Did you like the piece? I didn't mean to sound like the one that slashes Chris on his first posts here. I've been hearing and singing his music con...

Re: Hülsbeck Turrican pledge on KickStarter

It'd be amazing if it sounded worse than the 1990's 4-channel TFMX! The heart of piece is exactly what you said: the sounds/melodies that kept you going to the top, and that's where the new piece failed, the most important part.

Re: Hülsbeck Turrican pledge on KickStarter

Has anyone heard the first released track? It's "The Final Challenge" from T2. I didn't like it - sounded dull. Maybe I'll give it a second chance.

Re: Announcement: Instant Remedy / Immortal 4

Glad to register to this forum! Thanks for the fantastic work on all Amiga Immortal CD's over the years. I wanted to comment on the only thing I did not like about Immortal 3, the fact that I had to open the case and booklet everytime, to access the track list. If possible, please consider including...
