Re: Making Orchestra hits

I've already made a kind of Laserdance-ish version of Battle Squadron, without the orchestra hits though. Are you "Lauri" on Spacesynth.net too?

Re: Making Orchestra hits

Hey, I checked yhat page out some time ago, cool site. I know your space-synth remixes Cirdan, your Pucca City is excellent! I've got a s**t-load of hits from Stormy (thanks man), although no LD/space-synth-ish. Good for inspiration. The korg-hits on spacesynth.net is the kind of hit/stab I was look...

Re: Making Orchestra hits

That Melodyne-stuff sounds like witchcraft! It would be good to have when playing stuff live or changing chords on guitars etc. May be worth another look if using some recorded material.

Re: Making Orchestra hits

Hey, wonderful answers! I think I'll have a go tonight. Wikipedia is a good place to search indeed. I have some (pretty lame) orchestral hits in some cheap orchestral library but they sound too "orchestral" and sluggish. I also like to have the freedom to choose my own key, major/minor, ch...

Making Orchestra hits

Anybody made a home made orchestra hit, you know the kind found in 80's and 90's romplers? Laserdance uses them a lot. Or any suggestions of samples to be found? But making your own orchestra hit would be ideal, making them sound less "orchestra" and more of a "power hit". Like t...

Re: Instant Remedy CD has left the building...

Cool!
Now I have to take another dig into my next CD-project, but it will take a while to get everything done. Creating an entire album requires quite some work as probably many of us know.

Re: Thanks daXX

WTF? Did he freeze time or something  ? Or maybe is it jsut me who is slow when it comes to remixing because one night - even with no sleep I'm not able to put up a completed remix mastered and all. Not in a long shot. But of course, daXX probably has a *pretty* efficient pipe by now, putting...

Re: What did Santa Bring You this year?

I don't know what to do with the new tunes just yet, but I'm tempted to release something at RKO. Or if something non-remix material is done I have to get a new homepage etc. I'll see how things work out.
I feel a little rusty I have to admit, but things will fall into place in the end (I hope).

Re: What did Santa Bring You this year?

I got myself a new computer (upgrade), Core 2 Quad, so Renoise went from 77% to 19% CPU load in one of my projects, probably better in some cases. Now I can use my new VSTs without thinking twice. Only thing now, my 1 year old daughter has to keep sleeping all night long so I can do some work withou...

Re: HD Crash on Production PC.

Our family/surfing-computer is in a semi-closed space and several drives on this computer have started to malfunction but only with partial data loss, no serious totally dead drives. They started to sound wierd and windows gave warnings. The heat is probably causing problems to the drives. Both were...

Re: Basshunter

Hey, knew ALL about it :o Real nerdy lyrics, but doesn't seem to stop people from listening to the tunes. Most people will never know what it's all about. Boats and stuff? I seldom catch the lyrics even if I can translate them in both swedish and english music. I just hear words, phrases and a melod...

As well as I know the first song from him was about an IRC BOT called "Anna" which he fall in love because he though it was a nice girl. I think it was the other way round, he thought it was a BOT but it was actually a real person named Anna. Embarrassing video and embarrassing guy but th...

Re: Winter Depressions

I'm thankful we have seasons on this place on earth, I tend to get tired of whatever season it is. I get tired of the summer in the end of the summer and tired of the darkness and cold in the end of the winter.

Re: Should C64Audio.com try the "Radiohead" model?

I don't know what is the thing with the japaneese people, console music (at least NES) sucked 90% of the time. 10% was acceptable. As a source of music to listen to, not necessarily as an ingredient in a game. I have NEVER played a game on a console just to hear the music. For example Zelda 1, where...
