Re: Music on Remix64

Remix.Kwed.Org (which is technically where your daughter is downloading any C64 remixes from) says: Free MP3s? Nice! Can I use them for anything? Yes and no. You are free to add the files obtained here to your music library and sync them to your MP3 player. But if you want to use them publicly in yo...

At least there are more positive than negative votes in that spread. :)

Re: daXX no longer featured on AmigaRemix?

The vast majority of remixers do take great enjoyment in making their work freely available to the public on Remix.Kwed.Org, AmigaRemix.com and OCRemix.org - even if it means running the risk of having their work used on someones youtube video. You don't feel the same way, and I have absolutely no p...

Re: daXX no longer featured on AmigaRemix?

RKO, like Triad MP3z before it, is a place where people can submit files for others to download and enjoy. That has always been made perfectly clear to everyone since the site was launched 18 years ago. So if you don't want to run the risk of someone using your remixes on their youtube channel after...

Re: daXX no longer featured on AmigaRemix?

RKO doesn't have a blocked download button because it defeats the purpose of a distribution hub for free music. If someone doesn't like the idea of having their music made available for free download, they're more than welome to use patreon/bandcamp/iTunes/Spotify/etc. instead of submitting it to RK...

Re: Barnsley Badger on BBC Radio Sheffield

Good job putting chiptune creation in to laymans terms, Andrew. I wish I had managed that when I was interviewed for another podcast some 10+ years ago, and the host asked me how the C64 could play back music when it didn't have a sound card. Guess I was too gobsmacked to give an intelligent answer....

Yah! Congratulations, Andrew.

You might want to update your signature, while you're at it. Both links are broken (also, who uses myspace in 2018? :))

Same goes for RKO where the highest visible ID is 5892 despite there 'only' being 3941 tunes online.

The C64 Take-away is back (on iTunes and RSS)

Hi all, The C64 Take-away is back on iTunes after being booted off for reasons unknown - which I found out totally by accident about a month ago when a new listener pointed out that he couldn't locate it in their podcast directory. I'm assuming it was a combination of Apple updating their requiremen...

Re: What does this music draw inspiration from?

Did you check the SID Tune Information List/STIL? Both Verdi's Aida (for subtune 2) and The Playmates "Beep beep" are mentioned there. The second being the track that is played when Bill encounters the trolls. https://www.exotica.org.uk/mediawiki/index.php?title=Special%3AHVSC&si=1&...
