Re: What I'm Working on ...

Updated with a few minor changes in levels... some of the accompagnement were a bit too dominating, and the BPM has been raised 3 BPM because I found the tune to be a little bit too slow.

maybe not much new to hear... just info to let you know some changes were made.

Re: What I'm Working on ...

Thanks for the comments... I did not see that the picture was not there... it will not show it for some reason, but I placed a link instead that should take you to the picture... it's just a picture I found on the net, it's not something I've done or anything... it just help my imagination looking a...

What I'm Working on ...

A short demo of something I'm working on... nothin special, and it needs quite a bit more work. http://razmo.ziphoid.com/Fairydust.mp3 Tune is called "Fairydust" ... I have a tendency to watch a picture while composing to set a specific mood... it usualy helps my imagination. This is the p...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

Sorry for the delay Commie User.... have had my mind somewhere else for a while. The JD-800 is a mighty machine... really one of the best for ambient pads and stuff like that... I had the rack version once (JD-990) with the "Vintage" expansion... sort of miss it really... like I do with so...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

I've been messing around with my Prophet '12 some more lately, trying to see what sounds I can come up with. Some people think it's digital sounding... it certainly can sound that way, but I don't think that's all it can do. The synth is EXTREMELY flexible and unique in my opinion, and I like it mor...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

Just finished my editor for my Prophet '12 module... and I've done some testing on bass-programs... some people think the P'12 sounds thin and is not good for bass synths... I have to disagree... it's not a MOOG for sure, but I feel it can do basses. Here's a few examples of my first program: http:/...

Re: Whats the best way to sample an instrument?

I also sample C, D#, F# and A of each octave. Doing it this way gives good results without giving you too many samples. If you sample each and every key, you are in for a bit of work, especialy if you want to loop each of them by hand and eye. And then remember that each sample should have the sampl...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

I'm getting closer to finishing my studio synth setup. I decided recently to stop the hoarding, and sell my less used synths, in favor of newer and more capable synths (and less quirky). It's quite a bit of a selection process, and REALLY hard for me to part with my older synths, but it's getting ou...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

They are currently played by key... I'm thinking about getting a drum-pad thing to use with my modules though, to get more organic feel and dynamics from the playing, but I in no way intend to sound accoustic... my music is electronic, and thus it's alright for it to sound electronic, but even elect...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

Well, it's just that you said that samples don't fool an enthusiast in any way. http://www.remix64.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9492#p93209 To an extent you're right, though. Drum packs don't give it all to you, in terms of sound and play, but they're handy in other ways, such as getting extra...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

I definitely do not shun samples... drum-samples, if that's what you mean. That is what I bought the KORG ESX-1 for, as it's generaly a sample-groovebox... I want that one to do everything the JoMoX AiRBase99 cannot do... I tend to collect niche instruments, so none can do it all, but does what they...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

Recently sold my KORG Radias synth... it was simply too complex for my liking... I seem to go along better with synths that have less than 3.000 parameters  And of course the money I got from selling it, was definitely withering away in my pocket, so I hurried and got this before they vanished:...
