Partly for the love of it, partly due to previous positive feedback and partly to get a pile of instruments and objects recorded for at least the first time, here's part one of my latest samples offering:

FREE ORGAN SAMPLES: LESSER-HEARD HAMMOND,
YAMAHA ELECTONE WITH CHAINED ROLAND,
PLUS TABLE HARP.

Apart from the harp, I have actually recorded the other instruments before and can attest to their versatility. But I've only been able to record some of what these great machines can do for my video. Though even this should give hours of pleasure.

The organs I own were 'only' the less expensive transistorised models with fewer features. Though I found that to record the tones clean before adding effects as plug-ins can actually produce clearer, purer and richer results than if you were to use the likes of the B4 software. Or mike up a Leslie'd organ with anything other than truly high-grade microphones in a controlled environment.

But even just when taking a line from the attenuated headphone socket into my recording equiment, even after the Youtube encoder, the sounds are surprisingly rich and full. They're still recognisably of an organ.

(NB: And if the sound of the opening music grabs you better, why not take a tiny sound cut from that instead?!)

'RIPPING' THE SAMPLES:

Either use any decent FLV downloader or simply record the video's audio through the monitor mixer. (Or run patch cables).

Thanks. I enjoy making them and am glad a few people appreciate them too.

Though I have the rather similar Music Mouse for the Amiga, I do wonder how my samples (or anything else) will fare being fired from this:
