Hidden HVSC Gems.?

Post by AndyUK »

Slowly working through HVSC and every now and again I come across some little gem. How about sharing your 'hidden gem'?? It's nice to get away from the orthodox musicians and get to hear something different.

Kinda funky in a daft punk sort of way

Stereo or mono for favourites?

I think we've all found far too many that to list them would overwhelm people.

Mind, mainstream SIDs have been impressive too. Take Kettle by Ben Daglish or Kamikaze by Johannes Bjerregaard. (I had to copy and paste that name.)

I sometimes like the obscure and imaginative. But I've also liked the popular ones, creative but not outlandish enough that people could be put off.

I've been doing this too recently! Been through HSVC for a number of artists including PVCF, Jeff, KB, Agemixer, Jammer, Fanta, Zyron, Decoy, PRI, Geir Tjelta, Deadman etc

Found an absolute stack of great tunes from all of those artists so will post a list of my favs next time I'm on my PC at home. Can't remember many of the top of my head, but the Echofied Demo tunes (listed under Geir Tjelta) are all simply awesome!!

Thanks for this. I've recently added about half of these to my BOV playlist and looking forward to checking out the rest when I get a chance! :D

Randomly diving into SOASC. This tune sounds amazing for a sid, I think. Obviously digitized, I guess though.

Edit: Just listened to Dirty64, and it sounds even better.
