Mint condition Commodores

....Well, enough without paying silly money.

I'm polishing off my studio-building by buying Ark-era Commies in as fresh condition as possible. The 64c even smells like it's been unused all this time and it's been another great Ebay find.

I'm particularly proud of the Music Maker, looking stockroom fresh right down to the box and stickers, which is excellent for almost 30 years old.

These goodies are starting to become rare and so it will be all the more special to hook these up in years to come and consider how pristine they are for the age of them. Especially as more of that old paperwork and packing comes bundled. Even the shop security tag for some reason.

No case and keyboard wear, nor dust, though the 64c won't boot. It also misses its manual and cartridge, though I already have those. The breadbox fares better as it only has a very slight scuff on the back.

Even so, you don't get such conditions cheap any more and I'll be very happy to repair and have both machines run as they should. I may even be able to steam a warranty label off a machine which is a little battered to complete the restoration.
And I may get a few quid for them when I get old and need that pension!

The baby in its cradle. These machines have that brand-new, unworn, solid feel that even the pictures don't put across.

This goes well with the mountain: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7135

The book and cartridge were lost along the way. Fortunately there are other copies to complete the set. I wonder how many other boxset treasures are sat up in attics, though for me I'm sure I'm recession-proof by now.

Music and photo graphics possible with 1982-era technology. And I wonder how today's machines will be fondly remembered in three decades, let alone if they'd still be niche-specialist.
