Hmm, I was convinced that it wasn't on that sample CD, but can't find it iin my collection at the moment. I can't remember there being any full-length tunes though. Is the guy on YouTube certain, or just guessing? We're into full-on Chinese Whispers mode here.

I can't help but think that this is somewhat related to the fact that people growing up now haven't got the slightest respect for other peoples work. Just watch some of the YouTube-video comments or forums debating this issue and you'll pretty quickly see what I mean. It's disturbing, to say the least.

Well, yes. Easier to write negative than write positive, I guess. So many empty lives with nothing but disdain to fill them: people who define themselves by what they're not, but never discover what they are...

Almost funny what Timbaland says in the song "Beep Beep" from his 1997 Timbaland & Magoo album "Welcome to our world":

Now we know his "method"! ;-)

Hi Chris,

I registered yesterday just to ask you, if I can put the wikinews text you wrote (or updated) at c64.sk . The confirmation mail didn't come, so I did (there was a creative commons licence so I hoped it will be kosher ;-).

Sure: though I didn't officially write it, you understand ;-)

You can tell which bits I wrote :)

Heh. Now someone has mentioned http://hvsc.c64.org/ at the Hip-Hop forum over at futureproducers.com -- I guess we have a lot more SID-sounds/songs coming out in the future then. :)

Yes. I got it (for the same reason I'm not linking this forum in the news at c64.sk). The way it was writen was the reason why I choose to post it. It's very clearly worded out.

Haha, that is just priceless -- good, good fun. :)

Btw; http://www.futureproducers.com/forums/s ... tcount=119 now also states that "Acidjazzed Evening" (or a variation/edit of it) is not on "8-bit stylez".

That has to be an ironic wind-up, surely?

EDIT: Apparently not, judging by the person's response in the comments: "fine wat was the original song???" Nice spelling of 'what', too. Oh dear.

Well, not entirely surprising for me, at least :)

Incidentally, perhaps we ought to make Back in Time Live 2007 (22nd June 2007) an anti-Timbaland meeting, burning copies of "Do It" or something :) "Guaranteed Timbaland-free SID!"

Mind you, maybe this the time that happens, he will have 'fessed up, coughed up, and be a hero. :)
