Could you tell us if it will be possible to attain new licenses at all?
Currently not. Perhaps a master key or unrestricted release when I think about it. Dunno.
Dang... I only just discovered the excellent Sid2Midi, and was looking forward to registering it. :( I'd even be willing to pay higher than the requested registration fee, just to get more than 1:30 song lengths!

Anyways, great work on your SID software, Micheal. They inspired me to get back into Midi and Mod music again! Much indebted to you, and best of luck with future endeavours :D

Hello Michael,

i mailed you a while ago as well, asking for permission to release sid2midi (shareware) with my Sidtool ? Its freeware and some people asked to build support for sid2midi in.

There is a lot of potential for Developing Sid2Midi and taking it to another higher level.

Hi there, if someone knows a sid2midi-like tool, please tell it to me. I only want to get the Bad Cat-Sound as midi (playtime more than 2 min :D ).

Or maybe someone has this midi-song....?

Unless I've messed it up somehow, here you should find an entirely free build of the sid2midi GUI:
SID2MIDIw.exe

Link works for me. Many Thanks.

I'm almost tempted to have a go myself :D

Thanks for the link.

I don't know if i'm doing something wrong (probably), when i put a song length of say 300 seconds and then select create midi file the song is still only 90 seconds long. Can anyone help me?

It seems to detect the tempo differently for some reason. For example one tune i've used before with the 90 second sid2midi ran at 188bpm. But when i use the unlimited version it is only 125bpm, even when i changed the tempo setting to 188bpm, any ideas?

The "Auto-detect bpm" setting was never saved and was "on" by default.
Re-download will fix. ;)

Yippee, thank you Michael! I've been waiting for this fix for years, I had switched back to the DOS version because of it. :worship:
