About MyselfHi, this excerpt is taken off my own hompage, hopefully giving you an idea of who I am:"Rafael Dyll is a composer and audio designer/producer from Germany, working on various projects such as video games, various multimedia applications and presentations. As an autodidact, Rafael has learned to compose and produce music by himself, initially through his participation in computer demo groups in the early 90s. While his grandfather conducted symphonic orchestras and his mother learned classic vocals, Rafael has taught himself to play and control synthesisers & keyboards and to create music using sequencers and computer technology. " Obviously, I'm also into video games in a major way, and just as many of you out there, have enjoyed a "career" in gaming, from the VCS in the early 80s, then Spectrum and C64 (naturally this is where my urge to make music started), across to the Amiga in the early 90s and right up to todays game consoles like the Gamecube. Looking back today, the influences are obvious: Hülsbeck, Hippel, Hubbard (is it only me, or do C64 composers' names mostly start with an "H"?), later Tip and Mantronix, Gustaf Grefberg and tons of other film and game composers littered my head with their beatiful melodies and paved the way for my own typical harmonies. There you go, if you can't fight 'em, join 'em. Enjoy my music. And drop by on my site if you like. |
