NecroPolo and C64audio.com release new C64 remix album

A new official C64 remix album from C64Audio.com? Did you think we'd given up? Well, NecroPolo has worked like a dog to produce a real quality Prog-rock album packed with great guitar work, 70s synth loveliness, and even some SID. It's a real labour of love!

Necropolo: raKBIT

Highlights of the CD include a wonderful Hades Nebula based around a Rhodes piano, lovely live percussion and some great guitars, to a rocking version of Tusker, to a version of Sanxion which really captures the nails-like grittiness of the original.

Uniquely, it also comes with a C64-executable-demo album cover with the original SIDs of all the tunes covered the CD in a nice scrolly picture demo thing. This is actually a lot more impressive than it sounds, because of the SIDs involved and what's been done to them.

From a pure SID point of view, the most impressive thing about it is the brand new SID streaming format SIDRIP by Hermit which allowed him to pack many difficult SIDs into the demo with rock solid stable raster time to allow for big borders and all the trimmings: for instance, Rimrunner and Scroll Machine.

The demo is available now for free at the CD page, and it will also be available on CSDB fairly shortly. Either way, the demo is free.

Look out for the album soon on your favourite scene radio station, but please support albums like this with a purchase.
