| C64 remixing meets Podcasting | 16/06/2005 |
|
Apparently having created Remix.Kwed.Org is not enough for Jan Lund Thomsen. His latest take-on-the-world scheme includes creating, producing and presenting a podcast dealing exclusively in C64 remixes and SIDs. Whatever next?

| Hello SLAY Radio listeners! | 11/04/2005 |
|
We'd like to inform you of a new regular show, that will be broadcast the first Tuesday of every month. It's called "SLAY Rated" and runs down through the top 20 songs that have been rated by you, the listeners.
The first show will be hosted by DJ Skitz (of the Saturday Night Warmup) on April 12th 2005, from 20:00 CET (GMT 1). We know it's not the first Tuesday of the month, but we want to get started as soon as possible! As it's using the Top 20 Rated list, it's not a usual request show; however, the host will, as usual, be on IRC on the EFNet network, channel #SLAYRadio. As mentioned, the list depends wholly on the listeners, and goes by the number of GOOD votes that each song has acquired. And that's where you come in! Whenever SLAY Radio is playing songs from the rotational playlist, you can go to the website (www.slayradio.org), and on the left hand side, you'll see the current song playing, along with a GOOD and BAD vote button. Just press the button that reflects what you think of the song, and the votes will be tallied up ready for the next SLAY Rated show. So, make a date to listen to SLAY Rated, and keep your votes coming in order to shape future shows! - The SLAY Radio Team. |

| RKO down | 11/04/2005 |
|
Remix.Kwed.Org is suffering another downtime. Jan Lund Thomsen is working on getting things fixed, although no estimation can be made about the time of completion yet, since he has yet to get word from Baffle (RKO hosting) on what the problem is, or what is causing it.

Just a small reminder that it's the first of April, and that various people are going about spreading false information and stuff. A terrible custom! ;)
So this year no April's fool thingy from Remix64.
[edit]And by the way, there's a new C64 remix album available. Check out the URL![/edit] ;-) |

| AmigaRemix downtime | 25/02/2005 |

Paul Vanukoff has taken the site offline, aiming for a relaunch. Quote:
"I have a rewrite of the site in the works, but I need to take the site down for a while to get it developed. Sorry. In my plans is a more efficient way to process remixes on my end so I will be able to do them more often (I'm thinking once a week) and fit that into my busy schedule." |

| 90 piece Orchestra to perform International Karate | 23/02/2005 |
|
Just announced is the great news that Rob Hubbards International Karate will be performed LIVE by a 90 piece orchestra in Leipzig, Germany this year. The news comes on back of the 3rd Game music orchestral performance held for the Games Convention also in Leipzig. Previous events have included orchestral versions of Final Fantasy, Turrican, Secret of Monkey Island and other such classic soundtracks.
This years event will include music from: Arcanum, Battlefield 2, Morrowind, Silent Hill 2, and Spellforce 2 with many many more titles to be confirmed at a later date. Although details at this moment are a little sketchy the news will certainly raise many eyebrows for those who follow commodore 64 music and indeed game music in general. |
