| BIT Live 2004 confirmed! | 20/06/2004 |
|
Date: 11th September, 2004
Place: Jerwood Hall, LSO St. Luke's 161 Old Street (corner of Helmet Row), London EC1V 9NG Time: doors open 5pm (TBC). Ends 10pm (TBC) Ticket price: £25 (sorry for the increase, but it's the only way I can make this one work financially and break even) Acts: Press Play on Tape (with Rob Hubbard and Mark Knight for MOTR) C64Mafia Natasha Samsudin-Mackenzie (feat. Iridium) Visa Roster (Mahoney's group) Stuck in D'80s (with guest star, Rob Hubbard and mysterious guest monks) and Octave Sounds (performing during the interval) Friday pissup bar: Tiger Tiger, Soho Saturday daytime: Wetherspoons, Old Street Saturday night-time: TBC Tickets will be on sale in the next couple of weeks, but we've got to finalise some ticket arrangements with the Barbican: they will be named seats on a first come-first served basis, filling from the front, stalls first then balcony. The venue is large enough to impress, but small enough so that everybody gets a good view. And the screen behind the stage is HUGE The front row will be reserved for performers to sit while they're not performing. Did I forget anything? Oh yeah, this concert will be recorded for DVD and combined with Brighton footage to create the ultimate BIT Live DVD for launch in June next year. Chris |

| Retro Gamer Magazine covers SID | 02/06/2004 |
|
Retro gamer issue 4 has a rather nice article written by board denizen Adam Dawes about the SID and the remix scene. Also, it has a free audio CD on the cover which has SID, remixes, and 2 bonus tracks (Amstrad and Atari ST). One of the SIDs is recorded from Martin's SID chip, but isn't on Project Galway: Ocean Loader 1 (the fast one). The magazine is on general release now.

| Pocket C64 ver 2 | 18/05/2004 |
|
Pocket C64, a commercial emulator for mobile devices has recently hit version 2: apart from many improvements, the biggest change is that it's now sanctioned by Ironstone Partners and Tulip.
For the sake of balance, let me point out that there's also a version of the free C64 emulator "Frodo" for mobile devices. |

| Sonic Wanderer to release CD(s?) | 30/04/2004 |
|
That Aural Nomad will finally be releasing _at least_ one CD, hopefully this year, which looks set to improve on his already mightily impressive 2004 remix collection, which has seen him enter the top echelons of remixers. Woo! The CD(s?) will feature some original material in the style that we know and love.
