RKO is back up! 10/05/2007
Since yesterday evening, Remix.Kwed.Org is back up'n'running on the new server. AmigaRemix.com will be sleeping a bit longer, though, due to some more reconstructions in the backend and to ease the burden on the server a bit while RKO addicts grab their first fixes again.

RKO and AmigaRemix soon to return 06/05/2007
After several days of downtime, there is new hope for the scene's great file hoards. Baffle, who had kindly hosted both sites for years now, is no longer able to keep the pro-bono hosting alive. Thank you for the years of providing a great service to the scene, Baffle!

Both sites are being set up at one of Ziphoid's servers now. On the messageboard, Ziphoid stated: "The current status is that both RKO and AR have been moved successfully, but there still needs to be done quite extensive testing, since the environment is quite a bit different than before."

CCS64 V3.2 has been released 02/05/2007
CCS64 EmulatorThe changes are:
  • ADD: Several new Application Menu menu items, which use Windows File Dialog controls for file loading/saving. The equivalent old-style Textual menu items have been retained.
  • ADD: Ability to sample a running session as an AVI file (audio + video). AVI files are un-compressed, so are quite big; therefore, these should be re-compressed, using video editing software, for further distribution.
  • FIX: Several errors in Textual menu entries.
  • ADD: New key-combinations added:
    Alt+K - Insert special C64 key-stroke.
Alt+Shft+S - Toggles the recording of sound to a WAV file.
Alt+Shft+V - Toggles the recording of video+sound to an AVI file.

C64Audio.com relaunch! 16/04/2007
C64Audio.com - Home of the last sonic underground

Last wednesday, during the BBB show on SLAY Radio, Chris Abbott released a new'n'improved version of the home of the last sonic underground - C64audio.com.

The new site boasts with a lot of new features and possibilities for both the customers and Chris. One of the biggest improvements is that it now features digital downloads of all the tracks. The flexibility of that implementation makes it easy to create bundles and addons for your other purchases. For instance, when you buy the album Project Galway (either the digital version or the physical audio CD), you'll receive over 700(!) bonus downloads! It's also made possible to put together special bundles like the charity tribute album to the late Richard Joseph where all the proceeds go to to Macmillan Nurses, the noted cancer charity.

A lot of the tracks are also available in lossless FLAC and AAC and one of the most important things - not even one of all tracks contains any kind of DRM (like other somewhat well-known shops do).

Once you've made a purchase, you'll have the right to download the tracks forever, which means that you'll be able to buy now and download as needed. The bonus system is very flexible overall and if you buy a digital track, you'll receive a discount on the whole album. Also, you'll receive a free random track from one of the other albums for each purchased album.

This overhaul of the site has given Chris a lot more possibilities to bring out more stuff to the scene, both new and old things that has been hidden and unreleased until now and for your download flexibility, a european download mirror to the original US server is also available to bring the tracks to you as quick as possible.
