Story
This remix is not quite a regular remix you'd expect it to be. I used only the base of Wacek's short sid introtune and
played around with some guitars, later i started building it up and finally this thingy came out.
So i guess this is rather a work inspired by the sid tune, but since i actually included the
whole sid into the track (yes i did!), i think it's fair to be released as a remix.

The asskicking vocals are performed by Makke (thanks mate, IOU 1). Thanx to Moog for the mixing tip although i still can't get it right (what the hell…), and thanx to Jan for all the patience

Here are the lyrics:

(Pretend the truth)

I might try to be myself again
I can try to let it go again

But while I still pretend to be true
I might as well pretend that I am you
(I am you)

They crush us over and over again
They rush us over the edge again

But while we still pretend to condemn
We might as well pretend to be them
(Pretend that we're them)

(I am you)

I might try to be myself again
(Pretend the truth)
I can try to let it go again

We might as well pretend the truth (x2)

They crush us over and over again
They rush us over the edge again

But while we still pretend to condemn
We might as well pretend to be them
(pretend that we're them)

We might as well pretend the truth

Damn steady rock and completely original
It's rocking, that's for sure. And it suits the dark mood of most of Wacek's tunes as well. It sounds a little muffled in places but it gets the job done and it works nicely. Smashing job!
It rocks... Top Stuff...
Well done
Great job Dafunk, Makke deserves for ovation aswell :D
Dafunk is ROTY. Period.
Good arrangements, soundlike Host/Paradise Lost
Quality!
Lovley tune.
My favourite Dafunk remix, kudos for using the vocals from Makke!
Oh for gods sake Dafunk - will you stop making Outstanding remixes!
I am not really into this kind of music but, it is the attempt that matters! Good stuff, this is.
Agree with dhs.. Dafunk has flown in given everyone a slap with his musical hand of slappyness and just continues to release bloody brilliant tunes, this is no exeption and makke spreads the icing over a tasty cake with his awesome vocal work.
Holy crap this is awesome! AWESOME! No. Really.
Well, my criticism of being repetitive in the instrumental doesn't work here in this vocal version. As _because_ of the vocals added here! So this works also very well though! Really nice one!
The singing improves the instrumental version...
Very nice Apop / Depeche Mode variant! I like! This is eurochart material fer sure.
Dafunk and makke together can only Get a OUTSTANDING smiley from me! I LOVE their music so MUCH and this really rock's!! Great Singing Makke KEEP IT UP!;)
Aha!, now Moog, Makke & you.... Grest work MAN, but I do not like guitar, something is missing in it. More energy perhaps. Still, almost awesome.
Excellent rock remix, the vocals are very good - this is how a great remix sounds like!
Sound like Depeche Mode... It rocks...
ROTY
Freaking impressive. Totally professionally produced, with commercial potential. Flawless IMO.
Great! Really great!
Makke rules! (er, sorry: Dafunk, too!!)
Outstanding!
Terrible.. But atleast it was better then the original
It's very good, indeed. Good, solid rock, but just short of a red one for me.
I can't believe it's not butter.
Really like some of the nifty effects in the mix. Good stuff by makke as usual.
The singing sounds like a cheap wannabe version of Bela B., the guitars suck (too loud)!
Great song. Only its too short, I want more!
Very cool DnB plus Metal mix
Guitars could take some much more brewtal sound - but hey this remix is great anyyway! Besides, my "no vocals for SID remixes please" alarm doesn't ring here. Good the way it is.
The lyrics and the way they are presented give me goosebumps.
Poland!
You made this into a proper song. And a great one, at that! Fantastic work :)
