This was one of the songs I always wanted to remix, and boy, I started a long time ago and changed the style of the mix a thousend times, from laid-back to Santana, from Rock to Industrial and ended - holy shit - as always in some kind of slow-tempo dance. But that's only the beat, the rest is some accoustic guitars and some orchestral strings here and there. Hope you like it, give it a try!

REVIEW BY ZaPenguin (02/11/2010) Very well-executed from a techincal standpoint, but the end result sounds like elevator music. Slick, well-done elevator music, but elevator music nonetheless.First and foremost, the original tune relies on its bouncy rhythm to counter what is a rather simple, repetitive melody. Stripped of its bouncy, upbeat nature, as it is in this remix, it plods and goes on for far too long. In addition, a few gratutious "special effects" (for instance, the "stop the record / tape got eaten" effect at 2:04) make this tune too distracting for background music. To reiterate, and hopefully re-emphasize, this tune is technically masterful, with a very well-balanced stereo soundscape, and even the cheesy drum machine sounds good. It could easily pass for something done by a top-40 producer. It's just a shame when so much effort goes into something that just doesn't quite work in the end. |

REVIEW BY ozzy1 (29/01/2003) This is my favourite remix of an old cbm64 game-tune so far.If Chris Hülsbeck wanted to make the tune in these "we have a lot of memory for a game tune"-times, it would have sounded just like this remix. The guitar, the bass, the feel and the playfullness is just awsome. This remix is not for the tecno-people or dancefolks, its for all the rest of us. |

REVIEW BY kudek (31/08/2004) And I am glad that author did not change the style to the umpa-techno-umpa. Original Giana intro music is nothing special (on contrary to the in-game tunes), but this remix is just brilliant. This is not just a remix, it is a new tune - Dr Future developed original "muzaga" into real music. Two (even three) thumbs up! |

REVIEW BY suso (04/11/2003) I could listen to this one over and over and over. It's really great and a good break from all the dance remixes. I don't mind dance remixes and some of them are good too, but THIS remix is really musical. The accoustic sound is very nice. I think this is my favorite c64 remix. GREAT JOB! |
