After listening to some fresh sounds from Hamburg, I decided to give IK a makeover with some smooth German-extra-minimalistic elements.
That went well. For like 2 patterns. It happens often: I start out with an idea that gets distorted over time. Perhaps not so strange, as I worked with this tune for over a month (me and my wife had a son during the process

).
The result? A housey, NOT very minimalistic tune at all.
But can IK really fit in casual house-clothing? I’m not sure, you be the judge. This time I fiddled around a lot with the sounds from the original SID, and came to the conclusion that one should never underestimate the power of our beloved soundchip (duh).

Makke shouts: Oh, yes! This one's a keeper! The SID is put to good use to enhance and brighten up the arrangement! Is nice, I like!
Waz shouts: On very rare occasions people use the SID to enhance a mix, not depend on it. This is one of those cases. It flows along effortlessly and is nice and bright and summery (considering it's winter here). Maybe a little too long but it gets the job done.
Skitz shouts: OMG - Mr Krafft is producing some priceless remixes! This is how to use SID sounds in a remix! Fantastic sound.... Keep 'em coming!
LMan shouts: Loved it from the first second. Totally killer tune.
Dan shouts: Sweetly done, just knocked the vote down a bit due to the length and aint THAT catchy
Tas shouts: As Waz said the use of SID enhances and doesn't depend. The right way to incorperate SID imho.
Chris Abbott shouts: This SO needs vocals. The best thing I've reviewed today.
Ziphoid shouts: Now, this is just lovely. It's the SID. And drums. And bleeps. And not the SID. It's just a perfect blend between own stuff and the original track. Top stuff!
eliot shouts: Good effort, especially the SID sounds.
klosterkatten shouts: Excellent tune indeed, but as they say, a bit to long.
mal shouts: Intro is very strong - I like most: great use of the SID-sounds. The rest dont get me, but thats personal taste.
uanito shouts: Great arr, relaxing and evocative of good ol' times
wildcopper shouts: Very good job
k_rostoen shouts: This is really cool. In my mind it got some Pink Floyd/The Wall-ish to it, but that's probably just me :)
infamous shouts: Nice work, it falls short for being a little much the same idea as everyone else has had with this tune.. But it works really well.
akapype shouts: Great ambiance, mixing electrosound and oldskool.
chilli_uk shouts: So many versions of this but what makes this STAND out is the arrangment - its simply top of the IK pile gets a very good from me - nice work and congrats on the baby!!!!
romeo_knight shouts: This one gets an outstanding because it's one of the best uses of SID in a remix. Very well done.
KF shouts: Very nice track...
humorguy shouts: The SID synth combo best on the site. Simply RED all over!
smattbac shouts: Very nice!
LaLa shouts: Technically, this remix sounds great, but I don't like the arrangement. It goes left and right, up and down, never settles, there's no cohesion in it - I find that very unnerving and unsettling.
marko42 shouts: Very good tune, soft and nostalgic arr
dafunk shouts: Great use of the sid stuff, technically very well done, but a tad longish and I personally miss some emotional impact in this... Deserves a thumb up anyhow.
crik shouts: Rocks
omoroca shouts: Nope!
mfe shouts: Atmospheric, a little raw in places, but the soundscape carries well.
xerex shouts: Slow and relaxing
datucker shouts: Great atmospheric techno influences and yet not too hard
brix shouts: What do you get if you mix IK with i-Ball and add an Ambient/Trance-background? Just wondering :-)
nicodaemus shouts: YES
anaconda shouts: Really a different take on this classic.
