This song was made during the development of a VST plugin.
The song is deliberately not quantized. You hear the notes as I played them (on cheesy Roland Multimedia Keyboard).

I agree with the posters, the selection of samples could have been better, especially a more punchy bass line.

The middle part is a formal variation of the melody of the main part (druid theme), in a different scale and different pattern. It might confuse people but it is really in there.

REVIEW BY lonegunman (10/12/2004)

Overall:

Dan shouts: Altho I did really like this one, the middle segment sounded out of place and some of the background clanks and clunks just didnt work
Tas shouts: Very original.. I like
Skitz shouts: It's ok.... Could do with some additional production
Makke shouts: I almost gave this Very Good, because it sounds so energetic. But I have to agree with skitz, it could use some more polishing. Even though the "rough" sound is part of what makes this remix special!
LMan shouts: Very nice idea, although it shows that it's almost impossible to make electronic music sound "real" enough. Great work, anyway!
Waz shouts: Nice idea, execution not perfect but at least it shows some good ideas.
hoogo shouts: I like it, its like some beginning bards playing on a market
c64glen shouts: Shouldn't work, but it does.
vosla shouts: Some passages sound very artifical (well, the instruments ARE artificial) and the selection of instruments is rich. The tune changes character a few times which seems to confuse people but I like it.
rusty shouts: Nice folky arrangement. Anyone care to dance with me?
eliot shouts: Good. Too much kitaro-like instruments?;-)
vhold shouts: Middle section suddenly pulled me out of it right at the height of grooving. Still very impressive.
lonegunman shouts: Great Remix! A must!
hispeed shouts: I really liked the ethno-style in your mix.. Still something (bigger) is missing, but just can't figure out what it is :)
wavedancer shouts: Take your step shoes on and let's dance :D
cosmic_gerbil shouts: This is great; especially the rhythm
steve1977 shouts: WOW! Really enjoyed this one...
omoroca shouts: The missing quantization makes it hard to decide whether there are real instruments involved or everything is purely synth. Nice idea to keep it that way!
Nada shouts: Wow!!! Great!!! It's like a crossover between Celtic folk and space age pop (reminds me of Jerry Murad's Harmonicats)
