REVIEW BY romeo_knight (05/01/2005) So this is the C64Mafia again, and I really like that they chose to stay closer to the original than with their controversial version of 'Forbidden Forest'. Of course it's hip-hop but it also features some R'n'B elements e.g. the female singer. Remixes with vocals always are in advantage cos vocals add a lot of life and originality to the song - same here. Only flaw is that the lead rapper's voice often reminds me of DJ Bobo, but maybe that's just me. Technically the remix is almost brilliant, only the voices could have had a little more compression IMO.
Nostalgic impression is almost zero to me since this tune was composed around '93 but this does not ruin the overall rating of OUTSTANDING! Proving their original style, the C64Mafia is a real enrichment to the scene. |
