Hi all,
I noticed there was no other remix for this track and as I loved the original I decided to do it.
Robs original was one of the first C64 tracks (THE first??) to use samples in music.
My first job was, as usual to find which sounds I could update from the original and which should be kept the same. In this case, the backing guitars were the first thing to update, then the drums. I would actually like to have the melody as live guitar and in future I think I will do this, however the original c64 leed was also very expressive and I do like to hear some sid sound in my remixes since it brings back c64 memories for me and I think others.

dimmignatt shouts: Nice arrangement and great work with the synth.. Though the whole mix sounds likes it's playing in my bathroom, a bit muffeld for me.. But still enjoyable

prowler shouts: Remember the orignal sid now, used to play the games on and off. Sadly, this is not really making it better. LaLa shouts: Faithful, straightforward remix of the original. Some of the instruments sound a bit muddy, but otherwise a pretty good remix with no surprises. brix shouts: This is just how I think the original was supposed to sound. Great stuff! pezz shouts: I've had a few beers on a Monday night, put this on, listened to 2 minutes of it, love it. Bloody awesome. scyphe shouts: Solid stuff, esp. The lead @ 1:25, but it's a difficult song to remix into something awesome (the original never were that good to begin with, it was novel with the samples but that's it). Great work at any rate.:) Tas shouts: I thought that was outstanding - Kept the original alive but added the extra what it should have been if the C64 could have done it! I think it's so very well done! Gratz Mr Brimble on getting it bang on! eliot shouts: I miss some punch... To give it an orange... Solid stuff, quite enjoyable but nothing special for me. legus shouts: Very autnetic! anaconda shouts: I like! Too bad the mixing is a bit off.
