Re: R.I.P. DJ Skitz

Rest in peace, Skitz. May there plenty of kickass beats in the party beyond.

My condolences to Skitz's family and all those close to him.

Re: Whats the difference between a remix and a cover version?

As a third option, I consider my versions to be remakes, even if they do use bits of the original SID occasionally (like Zoids). I think it mirrors nicely the use of the term with games, like the recent remake of Bionic Commando etc - it's the same game, just a bit different and radically more moder...

Actually, I did... ;)

I got so fed up with recording acoustic guitars by mic'ing a real acoustic so I ordered a Line6 Variax 300 Acoustic. Maybe it'll actually inspire me to do at least one remix this year too :)

Re: Help Request : Need a Lead Guitarist (not forming a band)

I have the MIDI guitar (though not the adapter for it yet...) and some tracks but I'm a bit suspicious about the legal and technical parts in general :) Given that many don't even seem to have modded PS2 and distributing the end result would be more illegal than using some remixes without permission...

MusikMesse in Frankfurt

Hi, anyone going to MusikMesse in Frankfurt this week? If so, it would be great to have a little meeting or something. I'll be around (occasionally in hall 5 on eJamming's stand at least) from Thursday to Saturday and then move on to Munich for Sunday and Monday for, well, nothing really. Just relax...

There's a YouTube video that does quite a good comparison of the songs (just skip the comments for your own safety):

Drive Faster

Well, this is yet another entry on the "fixing old mistakes" list. http://www.playbynumbers.com/mp3/drive_faster.mp3 I was just listening to Slay Radio today when the random playlist played Drive, a remix that I quite liked back in the day but never got to sound right. It seemed to just la...

Re: Taking out the trash, part 2

Echo by Slaygon ..not to mention the fabulous guitar solo I recorded for this remix! Listen here: Solo of the year played for Echo Indeed! Since I never got to add the vocals, the solo was left waiting too - sorry about that, didn't remember that at all :) Well, if Makke finds his inner Bruc...

Taking out the trash, part 2

Since 2006 is pretty much over, I thought it would be fun (and possibly slightly educational) to wrap up some loose ends from 2005 and 2006 like in the earlier thread . So, here are my leftovers and unfinished songs this time (the standard disclamer applies, most of them are really just drafts and p...

It seems that it's indeed a season of changing jobs, voluntarily and involuntarily. Yesterday was my last day at the office, I left a multinational consulting company to form a small two man operation with my friend. IT consulting, user interface design, web development and all that. And hopefully m...

Machinae Supremacy to major label

I have an XBox 360 and I've already ordered the Wii but the price of PS3 is just too much for me, especially when compared to the XBox 360 which offers pretty much the same as PS3. Sony needs really kickass exclusives on PS3 to make the ~800 eur investment worth it. At the moment Wii seems to be the...
