Re: Cybernoid WIP

Hi, thanks for the tip. I took two sound classes at Santa Monica college. The teacher, Fletcher Beasley, is really amazing... great bargain for the price. We focused mainly on production audio and sound effects for movies, but there was also some music stuff and he allowed music projects for the mid...

Cybernoid WIP

Here's a Cybernoid remix I did in Pro Tools for a sound class a little over a year ago. I'd use Logic now as Pro Tools' midi functionality and default instrument selection isn't so hot, but everything had to be Pro Tools for that class. I don't like it much, but wondering if it might be salvageable....

So who will accept the challenge? :D I'd do it myself but I don't have the chops, or the soundfonts.

Here's another idea: a Heart of Africa/Pitfall II medley in full John Williams style!

Subtune 2 is the "sci fi" theme from ACS. Cool piece of music. I don't know if it resembles any of Dave's other work. It has a nice sound though, sort of Bach-esque arpeggios. (Reminds me a little of the Well Tempered Clavier preludes in C Major and c minor.) I thought about remixing it in...

My approach is "individual sid voice to ear to scrawled piece of music notation to tearing-hair-out to banging hopelessly on my Yamaha to Fruityloops to tearing-more-hair-out to Ntrack to wave to mp3."

Maybe that's why I've only made 2 remixes so far...

Heart of Africa, etc).
Oh no!!! I was gonna rediscover that one. :D

Good to see someone else fondly remembers Dave Warhol. Just leave Ed Bogas to me...

It's a great tune. I could email it to you (as a .cust file which can be played in Deliplayer). My email is gcameron@neteze.com , let me know if you'd like it.

I've got a question for all FL Studio users.... Do you have any tricks to make a final mix sound good? I either end up with something that is cliped to hell or is way too soft.... (Still haven't really released anything because I'm too shy although you could listen to my wip of Bouncing Ball as it ...

Fruityloops with a bunch of freebie VSTIs and soundfonts. I have the Reason demo but it intimidates the hell out of me. :)

Any tennis fans here?

I notice there are a lot of Swedes on this board, and since Sweden is a great tennis nation (Bjorn Borg, Mats Wilander, Stefan Edberg), I can't help wondering whether anyone here follows the sport. Of course, you don't have to be a Swede to be a tennis fan. But it probably helps. :) I'm taking lesso...

Thanks hoomish, if you have them in .cust form and can spare a minute, my address is gcameron@neteze.com

I can download them from the exotica site too, but I'm not familiar with .lha file formats. Is that a compressor of some kind?

I'll try to do one pretty soon... no guarantees though, I'm kind of lazy. :) Some of my favorite Amiga tunes are already so good that I know I couldn't improve on them. I'd have to just try to "reconceive" them. One of the Faery Tale tunes might be a good place to start. Very straightforwa...
