Re: Telegram or Whatsapp Group

Necro'ed; I was checking to see if Remix64 or R:K:O had Discords, since I'm in SLAYRadio's. Is there a broader Commodore arrangement scene Discord?

Re: a Tribute to Jochen Hippel - OUT NOW !!!

Somehow a lot of the Remixes on -www.ocremix.org- are crackling and not sounding well. Even with my Equip. Makes me wonder if they`re compressing an already compressed Tune again (from 256kbps -> 160kbps for example). Just addressing this quickly, we typically don't do that. I can think of maybe 4 ...

Re: Woot i got remixed ... or?

Wow, so Dirk just found me on OC ReMix and private messaged me today about this sampling of parts of his AMIGAremix without his permission. I don't know if anyone here helped him find how to contact me (since I am in fact the right person to fix this issue and give Zzr the proper credits), but I'm j...

Re: I'm tired of defending myself against idiots.

I think the nay sayers are probably right, though: the FAQ wouldn't prevent the visceral emotional reaction they might get from the site: and once they'd decided that way, mere facts might not put a dent in their armour of self-righteousness.... positive confirmation bias rules, OKOKOKOKOKOKOK! But...

Re: I'm tired of defending myself against idiots.

Yeah, you need an FAQ, Chris. :-D Dunno why people are saying there's almost no point in doing that. Once you have a FAQ in place, you can always link to it in response to ignorant emails. I would make a preliminary list, post it in a thread, then get feedback as to what else to add.

Re: Bitlive 2007 DVD - The Rebuild-TORRENT AVAILABLE!!!

Just noting that I've added both versions of the DVD to VGMdb:
http://www.vgmdb.net/db/albums.php?id=8300
http://www.vgmdb.net/db/albums.php?id=8303

Grabbing the Rebuilt version, and looking forward to the results. The YouTube preview looked excellent; I'm enjoying the classic interface!

Re: Recruiting for the Tim Follin Arrangement Project

I'm having a hell of a time attempting to read a Follin interview from an old diskmag , as I've never tried to emulate one before. Download it here . Would anyone mind walking me through how to read the interview or extract the text of the interview in order to read it apart from the diskmag. I've g...

OC ReMix: Submission Standards revisions

The announcement about this (along with some other site stuff) is up over here: http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=12660 Please note, we already spent months addressing suggestions for improvements on the wording, but this has nothing to do with raising, lowering or changing the standard...

I just noticed LaLa's new album review for The Blithe, the Blend & the Bizarre via the front page, so I blogged about it. Please leave some comments over at the blog; I'd be glad to read 'em!

The previews for the album sound excellent, and I hope sales have gone well so far, Reyn.

I would like someone to suggest a piece for me to do. Oh, and a date for completion would be useful, otherwise I just won't work hard enough. The pressure helps me - maybe I should consider writing game music again  Your requests please! :? Hey Matthew, thanks very much for your participation...

Thanks a lot Marcus, I appreciate it! Definitely looking forward to the Qix medley! I'm still trying to beg either you or DHS to submit your Break Dance mix from a few years ago to OCR. Both of you have said you would be ok with sending it, and I promised Carlo we would get a second mix of his...

Recruiting for the Tim Follin Arrangement Project

Larry Oji here, staff member of the OverClocked ReMix VGM fan arrangement site. I've started a thread at OC ReMix about doing a tribute arrangement project for Tim Follin , who relatively recently announced that he would no longer compose video game music. If you're a very capable artist in the comm...

There is a great lack of C64 and Amiga remixes on Overclocked since the majority of mixers (And listeners) are american, where these platforms weren't popular at all. I always try to introduce them to the wonderful world of SID though, by adding C64 elements to many of my console remixes. djpretzel...
