My nightmare

What you read below is a true story. It happened to me last night. I am writing it down to warn all of you: it can happen to you, too! It actually started out as a very nice dream. I was born and raised in Hungary, we lived in a drab, grey 10-story condo building and there were many other similar dr...

Re: C64 - 25th Anniversary

And now, there's also a video of the entire panel discussion from the same event at the Computer History Museum:

It's rather long, though, at 90+ minutes.

SID spotting on SpikeTV's VGA

I just finished watching the Video Game Awards 2007 show on SpikeTV ( http://www.vga.spiketv.com ). The show was held right here in Vegas. The Video Games Live orchestra was also there ( http://www.videogameslive.com ) and as the show returned from the second commercial, they were playing "Turbo Out...

C64 - 25th Anniversary

It's not very often we see the C64 mentioned in a CNN article these days: http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/ptech/12/07/c64/index.html I was especially intrigued by this paragraph: "On Monday, the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, will celebrate the C64's 25th anniversary. Computer pi...

Re: Fatal server crash

I think it was me, folks. I must've passed my bad karma over to Remix64.com :( During the past month or so the following devices broke down in my house (most required replacements): washing machine, dishwasher, food disposer, water heater, my precious TiVo had a hard drive crash (that was painful!) ...

Can anyone point out a pic with Romeo Knight in it? I must have completely missed him all evening You and me both, Mat! :( Anyway, one of mine does have him in, chatting to Makke. See: Romeo Knight and Makke Since this seems to come up every time ("oh, shucks, I must've missed XYZ"). If I may have ...

Eliminator

We need more Eliminator remixes! I've been listening to JT's SIDs again (inspired by his awesome performance at BIT Live 2007), and I was stunned to realize that there's only one lonely remix of Eliminator out there, even though the SID is #71 on the Top 100 SIDs of all times. I can't understand why...

To all of those posting pictures and videos:

THANK YOU!

Those of us (like me) who couldn't attend really do appreciate it!

Now, I need some more videos of Reyn's performance. :)

Sorry, I missed the show - but what an awesome demo! And the tunes are available as SIDs, too! And even as remixes! What a MONSTER effort!!! This is truly a great package, I hope future C64 demos will follow suit.

Absolutely fantastic, thanks a lot, guys!!!

Very cewl!

Sooo, how much did you guys pay to be advertised in the game in such a way? :D

PS: You know what would've been a tad cewler? If the game featured a PPOT remix in its soundtrack.

Don't we already have such capsule reviews in the form of Shouts? IMHO, the Featured Download list should be generated automatically: just take the tunes that have an average score of 90% or more (or 80% or more or whatever), display a randomly chosen Shout for it as the capsule review, and you're d...
