Dumping projects.

I sometimes, spend 12-14 hours on a project and get frustrated near the end and I just close the program without saving. Essentially I dump it.

Anyone else do that?

Re: Convert midi to SID

One more thing, brows around KVR and you can get very good C64 ish sounding VSt's which are free I'm not sure if you can use these, since you mention you are in a Mac environment. http://www.kvraudio.com/product/basic-65-by-de-la-mancha http://www.kvraudio.com/product/quantum_64_by_land_of_cockaigne...

Re: Convert midi to SID

All this converting this to that seems a bit too complicated. Simplify things. Although I haven't done many C64 remixes, this is how I've done them. 1. Grab the old Sidplay 95 file from here: http://www.gsldata.se/c64/spw/sidplayw.html This player is not compatible with some of the newer sids in HVS...

You might also like Gino Vannelli (Canadian artist) first thing popped in my head when I heard the Robert Byrne stuff.

Re: Where do I actually GET the SID of this cracktro?

You Da man Waz :) I used the Monitor in Vice64 to poke around a bit, was going to rip the Sid out, found the player routine but couldnt figure out how to save memory range back to disc so I gave up.

I used to do this stuff with my Final Cartridge III back in the day. :)

Chris
Sound about right. $6 would be the budget for a small department, who decided to do this.
