Re: What I've been doing lately
'Farewell': In my not so humble opinion, if you need stock sound effects to help convey the mood of your music then you're not doing your job as a composer. That aside, I like the interplay between the wurly ep and the organ, which by the way is a pretty nice sound. What organ patch is that? Hi ana...

Re: What I've been doing lately
SarahKreuz31: Thank you for the "4shared" -tip, I'll be using them in the future  Hope you weren`t in such a bad mood as the Music interfered!? Not for the Sonata Infectionica, but for the Farewell,.... -track I was quite in a sad mood although I had had a couple of drinks before...

Re: Tron Legacy soundtrack
Oh man, the movie was beautiful! The soundtrack complemented the visuals right up to shivers in my spine when the "Fall" -track cued!
Definitely on my blu-ray -wishlist

Re: What I've been doing lately
The Jamaican tune reminds me of something off of the Monkey Island soundtracks. I was in a summercabin with my laptop, during the midsummer and had a bit of grog when doing the basis for the track, so that must be it :arr: One thing though; every time you use rapidshare, a kitten dies. :nonono: OMG...

What I've been doing lately
If anybody's interested, here's two original tracks from me unrelated to C64 remix scene. "Farewell, my Jamaican friend..." was released at Alternative Party 2009 in a music compo and got 6. place out of 13 finalists. http://rapidshare.com/files/437594321/Farewell__my_Jamaican_friend_2.ogg...

Re: A bunch of unreleased WIPs
I really like the Green Beret subtune 10, there's something "Röyksopp'ish" going on in there :) And, of course, I had to take a listen to the Hysteria (tried to do it sort of like Ferrara's version). The remix really kicks off with the beat  Definitely a version to release some ...

Re: Tron Legacy soundtrack
Of course, I'm not saying that this is "the ultimate soundtrack" and best ever made of all the soundtracks. It just seems to grasp the spirit and the atmosphere of the Tron mythos perfectly 8) And thus feels like the "perfect" soundtrack fitting for this movie. Like Hans Zimmer's...

Tron Legacy soundtrack
I've been listening to the soundtrack from various sources (http://www.tronsoundtrack.com, youtube, etc) and just from the previews I can recommend this soundtrack all the fans of SID-music, arpeggios, analogue synths etc 8) Just waiting for the digital download to become available on December 7th.....

Rob Hubbard at Assembly 2002 with the fans -video
Hi all! Here it finally is, the video I promised to deliver back in 2006 . It took awhile, but it's now uploaded to Youtube in it's entirety. Since the total running time is a whopping (sarcasm) 18 minutes, I had to break it down to two parts because of Youtube limitations. The first part (about 3mi...

Re: Hurts - Wonderful Life
After watching this pro-produced video, I have to admit that the money shows and the video loses it's "edge". And the mix of the music is, of course, much more commercial with some beat-tricks, vocals and editing to make it more "exciting" by introducing some earcandy to it. I li...

Re: Announcement: Instant Remedy / Immortal 4
Instant Remedy: Excellent news, just take your time to enjoy the summer and other non-computer-related things life has to offer :) Then, when you return to the to-do -list of remixes for the CD, you'll notice it's just a bit easier to come up with new stuff and beat your previous mixes for the forth...

Hurts - Wonderful Life
I just have to post this as this represents, at least to me, the best 80s and retro-influenced newcomer band in a long long time. 8) The backgrounds, the drums, the synths, all remind me of the early 80s synthbands and new wave -music I love. According to their interview, the video (which kicks butt...

Re: The shape of the scene 10 years on
@Analog-X64: I too have Chris Abbott to thank, for the same reason back in 1997/1998 when all this was new and highly interesting. @Razmo: Real life indeed. I was shocked to notice that this is probably the first time this year I've logged on here, and actually digesting new threads and discussions....

Re: First Patrol - Theme from Rambo II (Jungle version)
Yes, it certainly is a definitive version of the original synthtune, IMHO. Unsurpassably executed, as always by mr.Galway 8) Regarding the "cheap"-sounding synths used on the original remix album, I'm not sure if I want to hear the "Torture version" which was also included on the...
