There is no way to look inside a brain and see if there is the thought "I release my work in 128 Kbit to save it for a CD release that maybe happens sometime." It´s only some speculation, but you cannot prove it is not true. Just for example: Putzi, if i want i can release anything acc...

This is really interesting. I've been looking around for a way to encode ac3 but found nothing. No plugins (for example, for Cubase SX Surround Mixer), nothing :( Anyway, always if can encode in ac3 i cannot play it back. I've no digital exits on my SBLive and the ampli/decoder i use (a Sony STR-DE6...

This is simply crazy: a cheap and traditional keyboard with coloured keys at 119 euros! simply mad.

Yes. Check on it's site:

http://www.prodikeys.com

it's about 100$ and comes with a soundblaster (model not known) and some composition software.

It will be an interesting one when will be selled alone.

And, yes, it's midi-compatibile.

cheers.

Here's my big IMHO:

The tune was probably mainly rejected because it belong to the
genre "Sid+Drums".

A part this, i don't know if that is a wanted effect or not, the music is in many place out of tempo sync with the drums, making it very "hard" to be listened to.

cheers.

What do you think?

For me it's ok, but only for "hystorical" purpose you could export all the posts in a huge TXT file, zip it and make it avaiable for download somewhere :)

cheers.

I'm too one of the ones that doesn't know if will partecipate to all the compos: surely, i'll go for some (actually, for different reasons, i did nothing for the previous 2). But, it could become a good "tradition", and be worth if many remixers will take part :) let's see if someone else ...

Compo: win this and you take home a naked girl!

Ok, now that i caught your attention  .... R64 sponsorized 2 compos so far. For each, the winner(s) took CDs as prizes. Those where "thematic" compos: remix X sids in one, or remix a sid in orchestral or '80s style. Now, what about some "no prizes" compos, to be held, let's ...

If you want to make music with computer generated sounds/effects is better if you upgrade you configuration asap. Just think that when I made the Comic Bakery PPoT remix (where I used a very extensive array of effects) i had about 75% of my cpu time taken  . (i'm on a Athlon XP 1700 with 760Mb...
