it wasn't "dullness" so much, rather the dominance of certain hues within the C64's pallette.

heh, couldn't imagine pulling photo graphics off tape anyway, the man's a masochist!! what about the Atari for a nice color set, I always thought my 64, while it had a good color set, always looked dull, as if it lacked luminesence.. much like the dragon always looked green because of it screen setup.
