Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

A small riff from Zoids played on my E310U:
I'm still fixing stuff on this organ... The whole upper manual has been deoxydized on the key contacts which took almost an entire day... Next thing will be the lower manual.

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

Here is a few more... note the 5 contact soldering points for every key... Also I was puzzled as to why it has four speakers inside... there is one extra in the left side of the cabinet, but the organ only has three simultaneous signal outputs from the the delay lines running in the Ensemble effect ...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

The Eminent 310 Unique actualy have a Jack connector on the back, that allow you to route external audio through the build in Orbitone and Spring Reverb, so there is no need to modify it really :) The most strange is that it does not have an input for the String Ensemble which is the Eminent 310's a...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

First little experiment today, just to make sure I got the right organ... I did! http://razmo.ziphoid.com/E310U.mp3 I was surprised to experience, that the Eminent 310 Unique actualy have a spring reverb built in, aside from also a chorus/tremolo unit... The organ is in really good cosmetic sh...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

Ahh... tomorrow it's the first christmas day this year :) ... I'll be getting my Eminent 310 Unique home... I'm really exited I have to admit. I've got a few pictures of the organ in question from my friend who will be transporting it, and it has already been transported from the Netherlands to Denm...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

Yeah.. it's quite incredible how Little Money organs cost on the used market really... That's also why you can still find the Eminent in the Netherlands for very Little Money.. some even throw it right at you just to get rid of it I guess... it's a common organ in the Netherlands since the factory t...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

That would be a way of doing the recording yes... And probably the most thorough way of doing it, and the most flexible for the user of the samples, but it's also going to complicate the sampling process quite a bit since it would have to be sampled in at least two takes... I'd rather want all three...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

Did that organ have a rhythm section Jarre used in any tracks? Nope... he used the Keio/Korg Minipops 7 (MP7) a lot on the Oxygene album instead :) http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_rScBRKlTdoE/THk8o0kqp5I/AAAAAAABc1w/eviHIAE99R4/s1600/4.jpg But there were two versions of the Eminent 310u... one (which was...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

One of my plans is to make a thorough sample library of the 310u, as this is something I've wanted many times when I did not have a real 310u... so yes, I'll do a recording of this beast as best I can, and I'll record every single note on the keyboard for added realism. Some aspects of the organ wil...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

Sorry for the late reply Commie... been bussy :) Well... I'll be recording the new Waldorf machine as soon as I've been doing some instruments with it... used some time making an editor for it so that I can store patches... the Rocket synth has no memory normaly, only simple controller messages, but...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

Oh dear... and in the last minute, the person who wanted to trade his MV-8000 decides to get cold feet  ... Well... I've decided that my E-Mu E5000 Ultra is more than capable to suit my needs in the sample department anyways, so I will not be searching for another MV-8000. On the other hand, I'...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

No, the MV-8000 does not have many I/O's on the back, I'm aware of that... in fact it does not bother me at all, as the only role it will have as a mixer, is as a mixer for the sounds it creates itself internaly. The Heart of my studio has and always will be my 24 channel analog Mackie mixer. All my...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

That must be very secure and reliable, especially as an outboard sampler. Though I'm not sure you should sideline the PC as much quite yet. Perhaps if you sequence your projects on the Roland you could still use your PC for samples. I doubt Roland would run the likes of Kontakt or most plugins. But...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

Allright... another direct swapping bid I got that I accepted. I've long wanted a separate sample player machine for playing back loops, phrases, vocals, effects and drumsamples with the ability to make a large library af sounds... and preferably with a lot of FX options as well. Mostly because play...
