Re: Ziphoid is new Remix64 admin

I would like to add to those who, quite rightfully, are congratulating Ziphoid on taking the mantle or Remix64 admin. For me, I think it would be a shame if the site wasn't looked after by someone who has a genuine enthusiasm and apprecation for what everyone does as a community, and who is a very w...

Ultravox - We Stand Alone

The highlight for me of a great set that they played last night. All four of the classic 80s line up were there for the first time in Manchester for 25 years, and plenty of album tracks as well as singles. It was rather good :)

(and yes, they did do Vienna as well.)

Re: Post your Photography

I went to the Donington Grand Prix Museum last Monday, and for any Formula 1 fan it's well worth a visit - it has the largest collection of cars going, including this one - Ayrton Senna's first ever F1 car, the 1984 Toleman TG184 (click to view larger): http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3332/3424377050...

Harmonic 313 - Cyclotron (C64 SID)

I was browsing the record shops yesterday, and noticed that in Fopp, one of the albums that was being promoted was the release by Harmonic 313, called "When Machines Exceed Human Intelligence". It wasn't being played in the shop, but I took a note of the track listing at the back, which ha...

Deflektor

Love the way Ben keeps them in all suspense to do "Dayo dayo" right near the end. Deflektor just isn't the same without it really (ahem!)

Think how I felt when I bought it and had the misfortune to listen to it! Hence my scathing review (see link earlier in the thread)

And, I should add, even doing an impersonation of those drums in that tune, hehe. Wish I'd recorded that now! Visa Roster we certainly weren't, but it was good fun :)

It's still the same rubbish though, Eike. Take a preview listen of some of them and you'll hear just how bobbins it is. Ugh!!!

Re: Authorship of 8bit game tunes

In terms of authorship and composer rights, on 8-bit machines, they're often clearly defined. Because of the fact that the same game could appear on various 8-bit formats, the author of the tune is normally the one who arranged it for that particular machine, because they will have had to do all the...

Please. Can someone do the honours and do it quickly? City are degenerating quickly and it's all down to that Scummer of an ex-Red. Bah.

Re: RIP Neal Heffti

I had the CD too: Power Cuts sale, right Dan?

It was pretty sad actually, as my formative years of watching breakfast television always had the old 1960s TV series, and plenty of "oof" "biff" and "zok!" along the way with that classic theme tune...
