Copyright
1) A tune is "copyrighted" the moment it's created 2) If you want to prove someone ripped off your piece, you have to show that (a) you wrote it first, and (b) that the person who ripped it off could possibly have got it. 3) STIM won't help: they're only interested in giving you royalties ...

No problem
<<< 2) if you don't like orchestral for example, then because you don't like that style you'd miss out on some fabulous remixes, say for example Glyn's Firelord. >>> Who cares if some closed-minded bozo misses out? The main difficulty will be in categorising the things. Probably best to categorise t...

Delta
> Chris Abbott dared to remix it
Twice, in fact! One on RKO (mystified by the low rating, but hey..) and BIT 3 (much better) with Boz.
What's missing is any other interpretations: all the versions so far have been pretty similar in style and aim.

Hmm...
I'm against setting a minimum rate larger than 128kbps. People should be encouraged to use higher, but I'm not convinced that the actual extra joy people would get from it would justify the extra file size.

Um..
First off, the start of an Amiga Remix scene infrastructure is a long overdue idea. Well done! But the c64 remix scene evolved around the c64rmx group. RKO didn't exist before people got together and someone voluntered to create a website. That's not right: the remix scene started on the C64, then o...

Rejection
Hi Rob, Even though I'm a member of said RKO jury, I'm afraid this time I didn't even get to hear the remixes, since I've been too busy to visit the RKO queue this time. Have you got a URL you can put them on temporarily? I missed voting on Dor-X's too. I gotta visit more often before Jan efficientl...

Ermy squirmy
It depends on the quality of the reverb, really. If you've got a great hall reverb then (a) it will take account of the stereo positioning of the instruments, and (b) it won't make the sound muddy. If you're sitting in an audience in a concert hall then the difference in reverb between the different...

Postage charges
Ironically it may be cheaper to send from England to Germany than from Germany to Germany! A CD's postage cost is generally about £1.50 on the price of the CD, and no more than £2 for one CD. This compares very well to Amazon.co.uk sending to the UK! Try processing an order through the shop, a...

Or...
... or you could go to our minisite at http://c64audio.valuehost.co.uk/edge where we've made available the full-length Karma64 version of Monty on the Run free of charge to illustrate the genius of Rob Hubbard (and in the hope that it will provoke a CD sale or two).

OK
OK, it looks as though there will be willing helpers :) Markus is now a part of the C64Audio team too, thanks to his involvement in BIT 4 (the CD). Now is the question: can the gate receipts fund the airfare and hotel for at least one composer from the UK? And if so, who would you invite? Or would y...
