Re: Yahama XG compatible module or keyboard..?

Thanks! There was an XG midi demo file I used to absolutely adore, it was called "Storms over Jupiter" - absolutely amazing song, and instrumentation - I'll make a recording of it once I've got the SW1000xg. Cant wait to get this card, and get that functionality back! :) And what a card fo...

Re: Yahama XG compatible module or keyboard..?

There are a few MU-50's on ebay for <£50... wonder if I'd be happy with one of those, how do they compare to the SW60XG, DB50, or the SW1000XG - anyone have any opinions? Sorely tempted to try shoehorn a SW1000xg to work somehow :/

Re: Yahama XG compatible module or keyboard..?

thanks guys, I really took a shine to the SW1000XG PCI card thingie - but there seems to be a lot reports of problems getting it to work in Windows 7, and not at all in 7 x64 - which is what I use :/

I will keep an eye on ebay for any lucky deals :)

Yahama XG compatible module or keyboard..?

Hi guys, I've taken a shine to Yamaha's old XG midi protocol having used to have their old ISA card solution. I miss it dearly, and would like to replace it. Can anyone suggest a standalone sound-module or keyboard that has full XG functionality that doesent cost ££££'ve espied the MU-50 o...

Re: Thoughts on Remixer of the year 2010.

It should be pointed out, however, that C64Glen *prides* himself out of making intentionally terrible remixes, intended to cause wincing! Anna's "Anorak" has wielded them at listeners where appropriate :)

Re: A bunch of unreleased WIPs

Your "Green beret" nearly brings me to tears - its so lovely - I always was a big fan of the original, your version brings a gentle sound that expands the emotivity of the track :)

Thanks for sharing

Re: SID's in remixes

To my ears, SID sounds have never sounded better, and depending on their use, I love them in remixes. Agree with comments above as well, sometimes its impossible to do a remix/arrangement without authentic real sid sounds... it just wouldnt sound right. Classic example is the wibble/noteplex/arpeggi...

Re: 4 8 15 16 23 42

Well I loved it :D Start to finish, even if it pulled out an ending that whilst very good and emotional, had no bearing on anything that happened in the entire season that it capped... leaving a lot of unanswered questions.. that a somewhat hastily assembled 10 minute "epilogue" tried to c...
