Besides, I sometimes get the impression some people use a low bitrate like 128 to save the good quality output for a CD release, showing a behaviour against this "I do it all for fun"-remix scene. That I seriously doubt. How many remixes that are on RKO have been featured on a CD after it...

Chris wrote something about this I think.

There we are :)

It's mainly about C64 copyrights, but there's stuff there that are "general" copyright rules.

Voted: No. I don't think there's a need to do that, but that's just my opinion. And I wouldn't want to be the one who's gonna have to go through all the existing files and categorise them :) And it's bound to be arguments over it. "No, this is not hardcore! It's Ultra-Terror-Gabbah! Sort your s...

Actually, I've never used it myself so I really can't give you any answers :)

I think asking at the renoise.com forum would be the best. Mostly there are people there who're helpful and fast with reply.

You know, I've aksed myself the same question a couple of times. Never figured it out though. Maybe I should just ask one the renoise.com forums. Hang on! I bloody did! Just remembered. Didn't get an answer from what I can recall. Which version of renoise are you using? The latest one (1.2) has a MI...

Oh I could think of a BIG BIG number Amiga tunes I'd want to remix. But there's little thing called time that I generally seem to have very little to spare, and when I do have time to spare I waste it on...well...writing messages like this one :)

I'm a tad tourn here. I think 128 kbps is acceptable, but 192 kbps is preferable. There is a huge difference in audio quality between the two. Personally I don't like 160 kbps. My experience is that this bitrate cuts the higher fq's and muffles the base. It might only be my ears fooling me to think ...

I like alot of different music.

Pantera, Faith No More, AC/DC, Black Sabbath (also the Dio stuff ;) ) as well as Kraftwerk, VNV Nation, Apoptygma Berzerk, Covenant, Elegan Machinery etc.

I could go on namedropping for am hour, but I think you'd get fairly tired of it :)

Usually, reverbing everything at ones will cause you to loose dynimics more than gain it. I'd recommend trying to revererb each instrument by itself (or ruiner's idea), because reverbing all at ones won't let you fit the intstruments into place, or give them the right amount of reverb. Reverbing all...

I think it's more synth-phonic than sym-phonic ;)

Lovely tune though! I think it would've worked well on Chris' new age project! It has a very relaxing feeling running through it.
