Re: Z80 - Trantor the last Storm Trooper, remake

Actually, it is pretty good. I would have preferred bass instead of the electronic guitar (? or whatever it is that plays the repeating rhythm in the background), but I like it even as it is.

Now if you could only do Savage (all four title tunes)...

Re: Authorship of 8bit game tunes

Both. The credits are correct. I don't think, for instance, Matt Gray had a Spectrum driver (did he??). That both did their arrangements I don't dispute. I am interested in who did the music itself (the sequence of notes) - I doubt they cooperated on that. I expect one person created the music and ...

Re: Any new CDs in the works?

It's really because only a few people buy those CDs anymore. Sad thing indeed. I know. For me, an actual CD with a nice booklet is a part of the whole listening experience, but many people are content with digital downloads :-( BIT 4 is an album where I just don't think the audience "needs&quo...

Authorship of 8bit game tunes

I wonder, how accurate are author infos for 8-bit game musics? Quite a few games have the same music on different platforms (adjusted to machine's capabilities, of couse) but different composers are listed for them - e.g. Treasure Island Dizzy lists Matt Gray for C64 (at least according to HVSC) whi...

Re: Any new CDs in the works?

OK, another PPOT CD and more Amiga CDs are both something to look for. I am saddened that the format is dying in favor of a digital download, but I guess I'll have to live with that. Thanks for the answers.

Any new CDs in the works?

I wonder - are there any new CDs expected to be released? As far as I know, we might (with a 7-month delay) actually get a Play! Symphony CD with a C64 suite, but that seems to be it. Did I miss anything? Immortal 4, BIT 4, Visa Roster 3, Remix64 4...

Re: Immortal 3: Chaos Engine

On the other hand, it seems rather unlikely that the "Metal Slug 2" (released 1998) composers would get their musical inspiration from a 5 year old Amiga game. Well, I wouldn't be too surprised. I mean, Baldur's Gate reused music from a rather obscure movie 13 years older... ("reused...

Re: Ambermoon Soundtrack CD

2) based on what data would you do that? Technically, there´s no link between your email adress(es) and your browser. Also it might happen someone wants to enter his friends (of course, after he asked them) :) It is usually done by sending an e-mail to that address saying something like "Some...

Re: Immortal 3: Chaos Engine

Well, the medley from "Immortal 3" is based on the music from stage 1. Thanks. Will check that. Bitmap Brothers released "The Chaos Engine" in 1993 - that's three years before the first game in the "Metal Slug" series appeared. Yeah, but Immortal 3 was released in what...

Immortal 3: Chaos Engine

Could someone please enlighten me, in which part of the game can I find the Chaos Engine track from Amiga Immortal 3? I have never actually played it on real Amiga, only PC, and I don't remember the music; I tried to locate the music in a movie from Recorded Amiga Games, but couldn't find it. In cas...

1) I am interested in any and every classic game soundtrack, so count me in.

2) You should implement some kind of protection against fake subscription. As it is now, anyone can subscribe anyone else.

Re: Welcome to the world Remix64 vol 3 CD!

No problem. I'll just have all the more reason to look forward the next CD, given how different each volume is - odd ones seem a bit less interesting for me, but the even ones (one) so far are (is) excellent, so bring on volume 4 already! :-)

Re: Welcome to the world Remix64 vol 3 CD!

Got the CD today, but I am afraid this is THE release which completely missed my taste - I was forced to skip most of the tracks simply because I can't stand their interpretation :-(. I knew from the samples that I would need to avoid some tracks, but expected to find at least some I like. Oh well, ...
