Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

It would certainly involve some phase cancellation that's for sure, because I measued the MIDI latency of both, and one has 4MS, the other 5-6MS  ... but yes.. the small differences would certainly give it character. Unfortunately, there is quite a big difference on some presets mostly because...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

@Razmo Im a little curious what you think of pulse 2? Have had my thoughts on it but since I don't live in a town With a musicstore I haven't been able to play around with it. Cheers o2 Well... I like it a lot actualy. The Pulse 1 has been one of my favourite analog monosynths ever, if not the one ...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

Just got an Email from Waldorf this mornin' saying that I won this months video competition  So now I'm the happy owner of two Pulse 2 synths, as the price was a Pulse 2... but I'm going to sell one of them... don't need two of these. Waldorf has a passage in their manuals of both the Blofeld a...

Re: Post your home studio

When I've seen cables sold (used), they usualy come in big batches, since buyers usualy want to feel that they get a lot, for a little.. I don't think it would be a quick sell if they were put in small batches, but you could try it out like that first to see if some of them goes... the rest you coul...

Re: Post your home studio

Somehow I've always envy'ed those "In The Box" studios... just a screen, a computer, and a controller... a pair of monitors and then that's it.... always look nice and orderly, and really compact. Unfortunately this will never be how my studio will look... Hardware takes up a lot of space,...

Re: Post your home studio

I think that the only thing I have that I made myeself is a M.I. Shruthi-1 synth... well... at least I soldered it and assembled it.

Re: Post your home studio

Of course, I'm going to be different. Given the range of machines, I can be found using a hodgepodge of old Samplitudes, Cubasis, Music Maker Rockstar for the PS2, whatever's needed. The whole gathering of gear is the DAW in my place. Others won't like stuff so sprawling but I can dig out all kinds...

Re: Post your home studio

I use Sonar X3 ... I've always used Sonar... way back from when it was called "Cakewalk", and I'm not about to change to anything... I use only MIDI, so it's important that my DAW is tight as hell with MIDI, and Sonar is the best in that department IMO. DAW usage is always something person...

Re: Post your home studio

What kind of acoustic treatment do you guys have for your recording/listening rooms? Nothing yet to be honest... unfortunately, but it's on my todo list at some point in the future... I'm thinking about basstraps in the corners behind my studio table, and some edge absorbers in the corners in the r...

Re: Post your home studio

The Eminent 310 Unique is still "sick"... waiting for me to find some enthusiasm again for fixing it  ... it'll happen some day, I just don't have the nerve to do it right now... the String Ensemble works fine, and that's the most important for me. I'm planning on using it in the futu...

Re: Post your home studio

Well... I always find this topic funny because many musicians change their gear so often that one month later the pictures are obsolete  (I'm not any different).

But here is the current state of affairs:

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

The Eminent is still a Work in Progress... I still need to fix the Orbitone Chorus, the Tibias and the routing problem of the Bass Pedals... but I don't know when it'll be done... at the moment I've lost interrest in it, but one day the interrest will be there Again, and I'll continue fixing it.

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

Some great sounds and noises. If they don't scream '80s, then I don't know what will. In places they sound very Commie, even Atari 2600. (Don't remember if I said that before about your other synths.) Which just equals winner to me. But how does it fare playing many parts at once? How do the sounds...

Re: Razmo's Gear rambling thread

A "small" demo of some of the Pulse 2's presets... these are not comparisons with Pulse 1, but showcase the Pulse 2's own features.

This synth really sounds nice to my ears.
