Last Ninja Acoustic...

DOn't know if this has been posted before, but I ain't seen it, so I'm posting a link. I find this mix wonderfully smooth and relaxing, the guy clearly has a talent for playing as well. Very nice

Re: New Hubbard tune........

Hmm.. so this is a cover of himself doing something new? Emulating a previous self? Actually, Hubbards original music (none SID) he did with Ben for Bedrooms to Billionaires was made into a SID tune by Max Hall (albeit with Hubbard in attendance). So yes it's Hubbard musically , but it's not Hubbar...

Re: New Hubbard tune........

The thing is, when you think about it, how many covers of Hubbard SID tunes are available on HVSC ? In reality, this is all this SID tune is - a cover of an existing Rob Hubbard tune (albeit a brand new one). Since you're a big Beatles fan I would compare this to "Free as a Bird"...it's no...

Re: New Hubbard tune........

Some further info....takes the shine off things a little to learn Rob didn't actually program the SID himself, it was done by Max Hall with Rob's guidance. I suppose it was too much to ask someone who's been out of the picture for so long to go back to assembly.

New Hubbard tune........

Maybe I missed this post, or it got lost in the deluge of "reaping the ebay harvest" (WTF!!) posts, but for those who don't know Rob Hubbard has released a new C64 SID tune. It's the music from Bedrooms to Billionaires (which he also did with Ben) done on a C64. Maybe old news, but how abo...

Re: ALL THIS SPAM HAS TO STOP!!

Here's a thought....lets just be thankful we have a forum where moderators take time and effort to reduce and remove spam. Shit happens, but it gets cleaned up by the team who work hard to give us something great for free. Spammers will always find a way unfortunately. I found the two vetted posts s...

Re: Sound card for Win7 64 bit recommendation (HELP)

Thanks guys, its nice to see hardware that is confirmed W7 64 bit and has good driver support. Reading up on this the product is still shipping without 64 bit drivers, but you just get them from the main site. You'd think companies would clue up to the fact their product should come working out of t...

Sound card for Win7 64 bit recommendation (HELP)

Sorry to bug you guys, but this is so hard to find a decent card by reviews alone. Everywhere I look I see "Asus" poor Windows 7 64 bit support, and "awful latency", and the same goes for Soundblaster and their awful driver support. Basically I have Windows 7 64 bit system with a...

Re: Cassiopeia & Caph - Two spacey quadraSID compositions

Really enjoyed your Wizardry/Fairlight choon. Still thinking your Spellbound is one of the best remixes out there too. What Analog said, don't be a stranger when you're this good.

Amazing talent...brought a huge smile to my face. Makes me wonder how close he could probably actually sound like the SID chip!

ANyone else using a Raspberry PI

Just stumbled across these few interesting projects that all use the little bugger as the primary hardware. Anyone else getting one (or got one) and putting it to some good old fashioned retro (ab)use ? Mine is due to arrive anytime (yeah, thats what they said 2 weeks ago too!) Just wondering about ...

Re: SPY vs. SPY (1984) LIVE C64 remix

Ha ha , more Luk Hash goodness. For those who haven't seen him before, there are two other excellent remixes of Last V8 and Alien on his Youtube account. Also, his albums are free and full of retro styled original work.
As for the mask, its wicked!

Re: Arkanoid (2013)

I actually quite like this. Nice smooth synthetic feel...I love those types of instruments. Couldn't wait for the drums, as this is an important part of this particular song's make up, and they're good too. Finally eh.. Well done

Re: New PPOT album "HOME COMPUTER" announcement...

Well, I'm loving it so far (only been spinning disc 1 in the car) and I think with every release you have to give time to become accustomed to the tracks. Personally I love the vocal tracks and snappy lyrics and also the great combo of C64 SID mixed with real instruments (e..g the Ghosts n Goblins '...
