Re: royalties getting to where they should go..

I find it ironic that the UK body that looks after songwriters spent a fortune on a computer system to make administration easier.. and promptly lost thousands of details.. There was even a feature on the Big Breakfast where they handed out royalty cheques to people for work on songs they had never ...

People went way off-topic with all that 80's stuff. (My favourite 80's band - don't know, probably New Order or Yello :) Anyway, I voted for Huelsbeck, as I have not heard many covers of his work - there's one on the Remix64 CD (I think) and his own enhanced versions on the original Back in Time. .....

Captial C looks better IMO, but a lot of people use lower case c because of net addresses etc.
The C= (or chicken lips as they call it in Germany) was sold to Escom during the Commodore liquidation, and they had to agree to put in a full bid. Should have been Gateway..

I also found some C64 remixes in a Tetris game from Miniclips.com, which I played on sillyjokes.co.uk
They were good remixes, but only a short loop of the tune (Maniacs of Noise, I think) which soon got annoying. Game's not bad, tho

I was tempted to hit "Not another Wizball cover", but all in all a nice effort. I agree with most of the comments in this forum, sycophant that I am :D

RE: Bionic Commando

STIL does have that information on the "Star Wars", and also some quotes from the Commodore Zone interview.. in which Tim sounds very depressed.. He said "it all fits somehow", meaning he was inspired by the original arcade soundtrack and added to it.

RE: Terra Commando...

The metallic sound of Galway meets the metal crunch of Follin - sounds like a good remix..

Re: snow

At the moment, England is COVERED in snow.. it happens most winters, and yet we seem to get caught every time.. cars stuck on roads, people falling over, panic buying.. On the subject of Winter Games (and all the Epyx games), the music seems to reflect the quality of the game - the first couple of r...

Re: Driller

Total Eclipse - I'd forgotten about that although I did play it a lot :) .. the song was pretty good if I remember right, so a remix of that would be cool. And of course, somewhat in that genre, Castle master. Dark Side and Driller had the best music IMO, but Total Eclipse had a great sense of atmo...

Re: Marauder..?

Has anybody thought about remixing Marauder (subtune 2) by Barry Leitch? People took the mickey out of Bazza for his "lame" tunes like the Chicken Song, but I feel that Marauder suits the sci-fi atmosphere of the game. That tune is a classic, and will need careful remix - a Vangelis/Blade...

Re: Driller remix

I feel the remix on the Back in Time 2 CD is hard to beat - nice industrial percussion, and all of the tune is covered.

Perhaps someone could have a go at "Dark Side" or "Total Eclipse"?

Human Race..

Just listened to the remix, of course it reminds me of Jarre and particularly Destination Docklands. It was incredible how Rob squeezed such an impressive soundtrack into a budget game, and Jon Ferrari did a good job squeezing five levels into a single load. Nowadays a five-part game would need 2 DV...

Which tune from Loopz have you done? There are 3 in-game, and all of them are really good.
It's interesting, the remix scene has raised Dave Whittaker's profile quite a bit..

If someone is to remix the hiscore sid for Gianna Sisters then he oughta be REALLY good, cause I cant figure out how a remix on that tune could possibly sound better than the original I think a remix "suite", where you move from one tune to the other would really suit Giana Sisters - so, ...
