Re: SID Tunes You Gave Up on Remixing?
Excuse me for saying, LMan, but that sounds pretty darned sweet to me! I see the SIDdy sound you were shooting for at 1:14 forward. With a bit of tweaking it would be something I'd vote positive for. Good stuff, guys --- Never heard of Shockaway Rider until now (and there are no listed RKO remixes I...

Re: The most dreadful album(s) you ever heard
Not every kid is cute by default, especially not if something like this is escaping the piehole... I can't sing. That is why I DON'T perform in public. I am not that sadistic... I'm just shocked that they'd have a bunch of kids sing "Milkshake". The other "hits" are bad enough, ...

SID Tunes You Gave Up on Remixing?
Just curious if you guys have particular SID tunes that proved too difficult to effectively remix (in the way you wanted to) that you gave up on.

Re: The most dreadful album(s) you ever heard
Hey, Makke! Big fan here. Anyway - yes that is incredibly awful. When I think of Gregorian I think of mournful sounding Monks, I don't think of a 50/50 split of cheerful men and women who sound like they gathered at the local church and burned a CD...but I guess it is possible to have women in a Gre...

Re: Twitter
I guess I'm just old school and prefer forums and blogging. :) I tried one of the flash-in-the-pan sites - FanBox - and my e-mail got spammed big time with useless updates. Since I really don't like carrying or using a cell phone except in emergencies, I doubt Twitter is for me, since it seems geare...

Re: Hey, reccomend me your favorite C64 titles!
Great, Martin, would be good to meet up at such a gathering - I've never been to such an event myself but I know a lot of guys here have. BTW, a few more games: Below the Root - More of an RPG feel, and an early C64 title, but the flavor, haunting music and gameplay of this one is still unique (and ...

I know the feeling - I just purchased one of these just because of the $4.99 price and to have a joystick with buttons I can program as C64 function keys: http://c64walkabout.com/2009/01/29/prog ... nyone.aspx

Re: So Blonde Monkey Island
I've read some good things about it. Seems it lives up to the hype. Here's a good (if long) review: http://www.justadventure.com/reviews/SoBlonde/SoBlonde.shtm If you want something that's a little more retro and looks and feels like Monkey Island, try The Tales of Bingwood: http://www.bugfactory.fi...
