Just kind of a general ask....

Anyone recommend a reasonably priced set of orchestral instruments ?
My sample library is pretty naff and I was thinking about get back into the swing of things...ahh yes, PC samples please...not playstation (ahem - it has been a while!!)

Yes. I do think it is very acceptable priced. $199 for a full orchestra library. Just listen to the demos at http://www.garritan.com/.

There's also EWQL Silver. I have that and the Platinum version. I think it's around $200 also. Look out for group buys and special offers on http://www.soundsonline.com

By the way - the garritan one does should pretty cool, but I reckon my proc specs are going to need an update to run it.

There are really interesting examples on the Garritan page.
Everything looks like it depends how versatile the classic score is programmed - the
examples span from solala to fantastic.
