New madfiddler track - no C64 or fiddle.

Post by madfiddler »

Originally wrote the idea for this in 2001. Then in 2006 I decided to get it finished so went to a now defunct collaboration site to get the parts recorded.

Piano, organ, strings and brass are MIDI but the rest are people I met on the internet.

Gotta say, I love this song.

Hi madfiddler - yes, it was :-) Been listening to SLAYRadio for years, been on their IRC, etc., but due to some browser problem I could never properly register here. And yes, your track is totally deserving that very first post :D

Thanks Kai :)

Paul - dunno mate. Depends on baby stuff really. However, you know me... do I ever turn up to things if I'm not playing? Don't like being an audience member..... ;)

Vodka of course is good! :) :) :)

Hi Mark,

This is a really great track. I followed the development of this
song quite a bit when you posted a link to the collaboration site.
It's always interesting to hear how a piece of music develops
from an idea into a finished track. Fantastic work from all of you
and was eventually a pleasure to finally hear the finished piece.

Another track that I followed quite closely was a song called
"It's Alright With Me," which I believe featured the same singer
as the one used on this track. Do you by any chance have
any idea what happened with this particular song?

As the site has been closed for a while ago, do any of you still
take part in any other collaborations on other sites or in general?

Regards,

Rob

Hi Rob,

It did take a while to complete didn't it! :) It's a shame the site died a week or so after we all finished it. I didn't really keep up with what else was going on on the site I'm afraid. The singer in question, great isn't he, is on another collab site - his username is pleasuredome.

Not been doing any other collabs though, simply cos of lack of time. Glad you like the track though, was a really interesting experience for me, and am really happy with the result.

Cheers,

m
