Weird!

Post by Chris Abbott »

Today I was outside putting the twins' car seats back in the car. Along the main road adjacent to the close my house is in, an open-topped car playing its stereo very loudly passed by.

It was playing "Warhawk" from Back in Time 2!

Now that's just spooky.

Well, I was actually working on a remix.
I have an open-topped car too. When I stopped at traffic light and a older pedestrian walked in front of my car, he looked over to me and said "Hey man, that's K.... Cool stuff !" Stunning. Took my breath away.

My current mobile phone ringtone is a short wav from warhawk lol .... dunno which remix tho, but kudos to the artist :) I do change em as regular as the days go by tho, the main ones are:

Daley Thompson Decathlon
Ocean Loader 2
Newzealand Story
Warhawk
Delta
Stormlord
Ghosts n Goblins (Score Screen *so cute* lol)
and the ever dynamic OUTRUN !!

Always i get ppl looking cos its like - a sid tune playing on a phone (its a wav of a sid really as sids cant be used as ringtones yet).. but they always comment - remember the old days - then i point em at c64audio.com :) with sumthin like "you should see it live on stage - NO SH*T !! Its AWESOME". :D

Hybris/Battlesquadrons

I can't remember which but either Hybris or Battlesquadrons was playing in the Greek radio when I was on Samos back in 1991. That was weird sitting outside at a place, eating ice cream and then hear that tune!!

Ahhh battle squadron, now there was a piece of music !! i only have it on audio tape, anyone have the amiga mod ? or a really good quality recording of the level 1 theme...... It was REALLY bouncy ans tight with fast drums and techno feel ..... also loved hearing "WELCOME TO BATTLE SQUADRON" in that Cylon type voice ..... almost a "BY YOUR COMAAAAND" lol ....

Man i miss that music nw ive been reminded of it ......

Speaking of which, did anyone remix the Psygnosis game "Agony" yet ? the piano piece ?
