Is this a C64 conversion

Post by Grazey / PHF »

Hi all..

hope you can help...

Many of Jochen (Mad Max) Hippel's early tunes on the Atari ST were C64 conversions. I'm trying to identify the title of one such early tune and have a sneaking feeling it's a C64 conv.

check out http://www.levelone.karoo.net/1.mp3 for a small snippet of the tune.... anybody recognise it ?

Grz

No. Very unoriginal though.

Well i know the ST and the c64 very well.

Not the best hippel track i've ever heard in my life, don't recognise it either.

As it's an early Hippel track, you could try looking at some of the early "The Exceptions" (T.E.X) demo's.

Yeah I know it's from an old Ratboy Replicant's Cracktro :) ... (for Forgotten Worlds)... I just wondered if it's a C64 conversion... do you still want me to post the full mp3 ?

Nope the Replicant were French, although a Brit did join them in their twilight years.

The nearest Barnsley got to the ST scene was a member from Automation...

Tas, Ok I've upload the SNDH file of the tune...

it can be replayed on the PC using Winjam or Delitracker.

Hiya,, yes I know there's "Forgotten Worlds" and "Max" in the header. The SNDH format is similar to the SID format, in that it contains a header which contains song title, composer etc... so that's why you can see Forgotten Worlds (I put it there :D ). Still not sure if it's an ST original though.

hmmm It does sound familiar, but I think thats because the main melody is some sort of a cover of an 80's Pop Song.
