Hi, I'm Ian (aka Hoffman). I'm an ex amiga / c64 scener, worked under the names of Hydlide and dreamfish! and was members of Quartz, TRSI, DCS, Flashing Bytes, Divine to name a few. How is everyone?

Never touched a Commodore 64, but I like the blip blop it makes. Played a lot of Amiga, though. 18 years old.

Welcome to the board.. You've found one of the best Retro / C64 / Amiga type of places to hang out on the net.

Looking forward to chatting.

Hi Mordi,

If you havent already, you can try, Vice64, CCS64 or Frodo64 all great Commodore 64 emulators, will give you an idea how computing used to be back in the 8-Bit Days.

I'm Robinson Mason from over at the C64 Walkabout (c64walkabout.com).

To give you an idea of my interest here, my blog site is mainly geared towards people who are interested in, but unfamiliar with or intimidated by C64 Emulation.

I introduce games mainly, but also dip into discussion of SID remixes, and general Commodore goodness.

The intent is to "spread the Commodore love" as Jan Lund Thomsen would say -- and spread it also to people who may only have a vague knowledge of the Commodore 64 and never grew up with one.

I do tutorials on emulation, and primarily introduce games that are simple to jump in to, and not plagued with trainers, impossible gameplay, or other stuff we used to put up with back in the day.

Oh, and I love C64 remixes. Funny that most of the tunes the remixers tend to prefer are not games that I ever played back in the day --- I have to think its an American vs. European software scene thing. :D

Anyway, I'm sure I'll be here off and on, just can't get enough of that SID sound and great remixed music!

Hi to all, I'm an English old school C64 gamer (too old lol) & I was lucky enough to be in my teens during the golden age of C64 music (probably 1984 to 1990? its all a bit hazy now .. you know, when Hubbard / Galway ruled the world!) I'd buy games simply on the strength of the musician, as I'm sure a lot of others did.

But I'm a noob when it comes to this remixing scene, I used to listen to my C64 SIDs in my 30's thinking I was the only person on earth who still did, boy was I wrong! .. I cried with joy at all the fantastic remixes available for free, and I plan to do a few myself, I've remixed Hubbard's "Kentilla" and Galway's "Miami Vice" ... please check 'em out on RKO. I also have another couple on the boil, so thanks for such an awesome scene that has really made my life complete! :D

Heyas, I'm Fee1. I'm in the SlayRadio IRC sometimes, and am a fan of the C64 remix scene, and just enjoy the scene music scene (redundancy!) in general, though my knowledge is limited when it comes to non-C64 scenes, doesn't stop me from enjoying SceneSat, though. And I do have a C64 hooked up to my TV, complete with tape drive. No disk drive, though.

I'm only 22, so I still do all the stupid crap young people do, like make assumptions, and avoid asking questions (because I assume I know the answer). Both habits make me look like a jackass at least three times a week.

Outside of being a juvenile, I'm an amateur sound designer, and I'm hoping to go Vancouver Film Schools sound design course. I also like hockey and rally racing, so if you're into either of those things, let's talk about them at great length.
