Cool Music Experiment

Post by Paul Vanukoff »

1) Get Paul's (different Paul ;)) Extreme Sound Stretch from here:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... _id=445122

2) Get a remix (or any song). I find music with fewer drums work better.

3) Play it in the Sound Stretch program. I usually try around 10x.

The results can be surprisingly cool. For example, I'm listening to AmiGamer's Monkey Island Mega Monkey Medley at 10x and it sounds like a Hans Zimmer soundtrack or something.

Any meditation freaks in here? ;)

I tried it with one of Trace's tracks (thelead.mp3). Way wierd.
Very nice find, Paul!

Cool!

I think the band The Birthday Massacre did get some music ideas from this utility.
I rendered the first mp3 I find on my hard drive and it's tune becomes the style of this band's basic instrumentation.
I rendered the second one and again the same result.

But anyway this is a very interesting stuff indeed.
