If they release a new Ninja game with the old music, they're liable to face.... problems. Put it that way.

(very legal day this, isn't it?)

They also did a fairly spot-on remake of Impossible Mission for the Nintendo DS.

And apparently, they're supposed to be bringing out California Games on the DS as well.

So the game will come quietly, or there will be...trouble? ;)

I'm curious, now that The Last Ninja 1&2 are available on the Wii to download, are/were there any rights issues with the music? Or does this only concern new stuff?

Last Ninja 2 is available as well? Well, yes, there are definite issues with IK, LN and LN2. The main decision is who should take the action.

Damnit System 3! 4-5 years ago, I just bought a gamecube because they said the new last ninja game where gonna be released only on gamecube. Then after awhile it was Xbox, then after that it was gonna be for the new gen consoles and now its just trashed?
Seems like the game industry almost trashes all adventure games and only put money on racing, sport and 3D-shooters. Argh, boring crap games I say.
The same happened to Lucas Arts titles like "Full throttle 2" and "Sam and Max 2". Luckily some company bought the rights for Sam and Max and released it. Enjoy that game very mucho!

Have you played it? Superficially, it's the same game, but it just doesn't 'feel' right. Also, the fact they didn't put IM 2 on the cart as well is pretty shocking.

Which keeps getting delayed and delayed and delayed and...

Only played it briefly on the DS as I couldn't really be bothered to get into it. Much like the original game, which I was never a big fan of. Never got the hang of the puzzle bits.

I downloaded LN on the virtual console few months back and wish i hadnt now! Sure the music is fine, but last ninja on a big LCD television looks pretty horrendous. it doesnt scale up very well and looks really pixelated.

impossible mission on the DS is a fine conversion and update
