SID Tunes You Gave Up on Remixing?

Just curious if you guys have particular SID tunes that proved too difficult to effectively remix (in the way you wanted to) that you gave up on.

Inquiring minds want to know, and it seems like a topic that would draw some interesting responses.

Commando, because electric guitar sounds made of samples sound crap. :)

Here's a draft I came up with in 2002, the problem is obvious:

The only thing I was quite happy with were the drums.

There are several other tunes I gave up on, but that was because inspiration left.

Interesting topic, Robinson!

Thing on a spring. A lovely tune that I've always wanted to do a remix of - but I still haven't figured out how I ever could do it. I guess the SID is too funny already, and there's no place in it for my talents...

Yeah nice topic indeed :D

Mutants, R-type, IK+ among others...

I think I am to lazy to get started on them and/or some stuff in some tunes I can't find the right instruments for so I kind of have given up on them :P

Shockway Rider. I just had no ideas at all for it, though I liked the tune immensely, so I gave up.

Excuse me for saying, LMan, but that sounds pretty darned sweet to me! I see the SIDdy sound you were shooting for at 1:14 forward. With a bit of tweaking it would be something I'd vote positive for.

Good stuff, guys ---

Never heard of Shockaway Rider until now (and there are no listed RKO remixes I could find), and noticed it's a Rob Hubbard work per GB64: http://gb64.com/game.php?id=6775&d=18&h=0

An odd-looking game I'll have to try!

Reason enough for me to get started on a remix of Shockway Rider but it's far from being finished..... One day though.... one day

Yes, I was quite surprised to see a Rob Hubbard work go un-remixed. Must be a toughie! :P As usual, I look forward to your guys' work!

Took a little longer than expected but Shockway Rider's finally finished.

Inspired by Reyn's live performances I decided to approach the tune a little different so there's (semi) live drums and (semi) electric guitar. Hope you like it
