hello you friendly guys at RKO, can u do me a favour?

could u remove following remixes, please..
15/07/08 Max Headroom (Beastie Boys on Network23)
22/02/04 Deliverance (Wintermute 707)
08/02/04 Max Headroom (November Regen)
26/07/03 Delta (Zwischenfall Mix)
27/03/03 Giana Sisters Hiscore (D-Flingern Mix)
25/03/03 Hunters Moon (Annikas Mix)
16/02/03 Loopz (Radiowellen Mix)
16/02/03 Storm (Its more fun to remix)
16/02/03 Demonic Pt.1 (Romulus Mix)
03/01/03 Platoon (Stratovarius Mix)
21/12/02 R1D1 (strange minimal mix)
13/06/08 Canonrider (Ladytron Sine Tribute)

'cause of different reasons like, ifadeo is a real bandproject now and we want some kind of quality standard and i'm not longer happy with those remixes above, but i'm thinking about some re-releases under "Rauschmaschine", 'cause ifadeo as remix project is dead...... oh, and i i'm still keeping ifadeo as handle to hang around here.... and if you see a new remix handle rauschmaschine, it's me... your good old fellow, ifadeo, aka x-klang, aka 2 klang.... haha, oh boy... ;-D

cheers,
micha

Haven't we been through this before?

Anyway, I replied to your e-mail earlier today. For the record, it doesn't speed things up to repost requests here. I do read my e-mail - but there's also other things competing for attention in my life.

There's a lot of my remixes which I would probably do different or better, but I leave them up as a service to history...

Can I just say I'll be sorry to see this one go - I've downloaded a copy of course, but it's one of the best tunes on RKO in my opinion, and it would be a shame if later comers to the scene didn't get to hear it.

This can turn into an interesting topic.

Its like all the changes that are being made to movies being re-released on DVD or BLu-Ray.

E.T. is a good example and even Star Wars.

In many ways, musicians are the worst judges of their own work, since they'll always only see the imperfections (I'm not immune from this). Removing the old stuff also removes historical context from your journey as a musician, too, unless it's truly dreadful and should never have been released in the first place (not true for your stuff). These days people want to be the judge themselves of whether it was good or not.

I don't mind new versions, as long as the old version isn't lost completely...

I also have some remixes I'm not proud of, but I don't think they should be removed anyway. Maybe someone out there really likes those crappy tunes too.
Besides, won't it be nice to check the site in about 5 years and see how much better you've gotten? :D

That was the reason for my post. If you want to use the name ifadeo in another context and it shouldn't be associated with your old stuff... just use an older name.

Hell, so many of you guys go through a lot of nicks when you try another angle on music - just to avoid people judging you by your old work...

I have tunes from 2001 that are no longer on R.K.O that would be considered crappy but i like them.
