C64 - 25th Anniversary

It's not very often we see the C64 mentioned in a CNN article these days:

http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/ptech/12/07/c64/index.html

I was especially intrigued by this paragraph:

"On Monday, the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, will celebrate the C64's 25th anniversary. Computer pioneers will reflect on the C64's achievements and contribution to the industry. Jack Tramiel, the founder and CEO of Commodore, will attend, along with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and William C. Lowe, father of the IBM PC."

It's not very often that Jack Tramiel is seen in public... So, if you are in the South Bay area on Monday, head over to the Computer History Museum and take some pictures for us!

25 years ago... Wow, time flies fast...

PS: If traffic to your C64-related website suddenly spikes, it's because this CNN article also got slashdotted. Just FYI. =)

Rarer still, the fact that he's willing to utter a word about Commodore. I'm looking forward to reading the press about it!

Well, I asked for pictures and here's one:

And here's another article just for kicks:

And now, there's also a video of the entire panel discussion from the same event at the Computer History Museum:

It's rather long, though, at 90+ minutes.

I thought Jack Tramiel had died long time ago... maybe I was thinking of someone else.
