WWW tag

Post by omoroca »

I know this concerns not only the remix64.com site but also remix.kwed.org but I would find it very useful to have the remix64.com URL of every tune in the MP3 ID3 tag called "WWW".

E.g. for Visa Röster's "Thrust", the value of the WWW tag would be "http://www.remix64.com/tune_290100.html"
There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Not sure what difference that added WWW. would make. Very few sites have a non-standard header that requires WWW.

1) I think you're confusing the ID3 tag "WWW" and the hostname "www"
2) On 50% of the world's web servers (those running Apache) you have to explicitly add any extra hostname that the virtualhost should listen to, e.g. if you've got "ServerName http://www.mysite.com" you have to add "ServerAlias mysite.com".. so no. :)

Yes, I am a nitpicking bastard. So sue me! ;)
