Aye, that's a great idea.
omoroca wrote:Incredible! 4 mistakes in such a short post! I've marked them in red.
Wow, seriously dude relax. they ain't mistakes they are my thoughts and opinions, but thanks for highlighting them on red, as that really helped.
omoroca wrote:1.) I didn't suggest anything. I said download or program.
That why I said you "seem to be suggesting", thanks for the clearing that up.
omoroca wrote:How can you know how many members would like external links to open in the same window? Have you asked everyone in here? It's not a minor feature bc links are a frequently used feature. There's hardly any thread without any links!
I was judging it on the number of people who have been bothered to post about it. Since it's a small number of people, in my opinion I think it's fair to say it's a minor annoyance, however the poll will clear this up.
omoroca wrote:4.) I didn't ask you to look into it. That would be useless anyway.
A petty dig, but I suppose I started it, so I'll let you have that one.

The poll tells us 2 things:

1.) Most people want it the "old way".

2.) There are 2 almost equally large "fractions" in here, which IMHO should at least make you have a look at the technical possibilities of making this a personal setting in the users' forum profile.
There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary and those who don't.

That's what I said, wasn't it? :)

And btw as I wrote earlier, I have looked and found no obvious way. I'll look into it deeper, maybe it's just a template thing or something. If someone wants to help out, feel free to investigate at the phpBB forums and post your findings here.

(Note: patching original code / installing mods is not an option.)

Somehow I knew noone would look it up for me... ;) Anyway this is how it it's supposed to work.

Links in New Window

Check out if it works. Don't know if older posts are affected or new posts only, let me know how it goes. Please note that it did actully require a patch in the original code. If this causes problems with future updates of the software, the feature has to go.

Doesn't work (any more?)!

When I have a link in the post, e.g.:
http://www.remix64.com/" target="_blank

and I press "Preview", then the following string is added:
" target="_blank

And if I don't manually remove that string, then the link looks like this:
http://www.remix64.com/" target="_blank" target="_blank

There is a bug in The ROTY 2008 section. Look in the othe ROTY thread about it. No need to explain it twice.

Hey...

I want to add some informations to my latest remixes but it seems to be impossible to me. It was no problem with my "older" tunes in February 2008... Am i doing something wrong or is it just a new feature??? :D

Might be related to this bug I've found... I changed the music type to "C64" and the period to "2008" and clicked the filter button, but the charts from 2007 came up. Can't seem to get 2008 listed.
